4.0 out of 5 stars.  Ergo Lock is a water saver, August 16, 2009
By Keene G (Keene, NH)
Before the Ergo HydroLock I'd loose my water by an ill placed back pack on the bite valve. They HydroLock has solved this nicely. I also like the 90 degree design that puts the bite valve at good angle. Note that if you've lost your bite valve as I did, you have to purchase that separately for another $6.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Simple design, difficult to get it wrong..., August 20, 2009
By DeeterGP (San Francisco Bay Area, CA)
There isn't much to this item, it locks the water hose, to keep your precious H20 from leaking out exactly as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  No more leaks!, June 29, 2010
By Natalie Michal
I bought my Camelbak bladder ages ago before they had this flow-stopper product. I would always set my backpack down only to find the bottom of it soaked when I picked it up again because it was accidentally squeezing the bite valve and letting the water out. But no more! I finally got around to getting the Hydrolock and all of my leak mishaps have been solved. It's definitely a must-have for any Camelbak.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Love the design, hate the implementation, June 25, 2010
By Ducatisti (Central Oregon, United States)
We wear our Camelbak packs when we're riding motorcycles, and the Ergo lock is great - fits inside the helmet more easily than the straight valve, and the on/off feature keeps us from sitting on an open valve and draining fluid all over ourselves and our riding buddies at a restaurant (yep, it's happened).

The problem is the rotating section of the valve is only held in by friction. Catch a closed valve on any part of your clothing and it easily removes itself and is lost. This has happened to me one and my husband twice while we're riding. Which is why I'm purchasing another here on dentalBookshop!

A tiny design change to the valve, including a ridge inside the valve to ""snap"" it in place, something like that, would solve the problem and make this a 5-star product.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works as designed..., June 2, 2011
By Barbarino
Not much to say, it just works. I think I ruined my old one by washing it in really hot water, can't prove it but that's my theory so be careful as it started to leak. The new one works perfect but to be honest I rarely use the lock feature, only bought this because it's what came on my camel bak to begin with. But there has been times I laid the camel bak down and it pinched the value thus leaking water out, so maybe I should use the lock.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Perfect Replacement Part, May 16, 2011
By Laura Bergman (San Francisco, CA)
I lost the yellow locking switch from a CamelBak that I use for skiing. Unfortunately, you can't get just the switch so I replaced the whole HydroLock. I ordered this part and was amazed at how easy it was to replace. It fit my tube easily. The swap was simple and yet the new piece feels secure. This part may not be complicated or fancy, but it does the trick! All I can say is, when you turn the lock, make sure you don't accidentally pull it straight out (parallel to the tube direction). I clumsily yanked mine while on a ski lift and the yellow lock took a plunge for the snow, never to be seen again :)

5.0 out of 5 stars.  A MUST HAVE FOR, February 20, 2011
By Alan
I originally have only a bite valve but after a few months the bite valve started to leak. I assume that this will happen to all bite valves after extended periods of use unless you constant replace it. This unit prevented it from leaking and having to replace bite valves.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works well. Keeps from dripping., February 6, 2011
By S. Moore (Tucson, AZ United States)
I like the hydrolock because it keeps my water tube from dripping. This one was a replacement for a hydrolock that my dog chewed up.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Camelbak...need I say more???, November 7, 2010
By BioWorkZ.com (Alhambra, CA USA)
What can I say, I love Camelbak products. I have several of your products and they are great. The only reason I had to purchase another Ergo Hydrolock was because I lost it while washing it. Otherwise, it wasn't defective in anyway. I even have one of their backpacks for about 3 years with 300+ miles worth of hiking and it's still in great condition. You get what you pay for and with Camelbak, you get the best.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  works well, April 24, 2010

fits sufficiently well to my MsR waterworks filter. I consider it now essential equipment for backcountry trips in which I carry my camelbak.

Same hydrolock that came with my camelbak backpack minus the rubber mouth piece. Would recommend this for any replaced mouthpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  good I think, August 27, 2011

Well it's exactly what was thinking it was. My camelbak pack came with something similar though so I haven't needed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Love this, wish it came standard on Camelbaks, January 19, 2012
By H. Kircher
I love this thing! I have it for both of my Camelbaks (one is mine, one's my brother's). I really don't see why they don't just sell these standard on Camelbaks... definitely worth the $5 or $6 because this little device will stop your Camelbak from leaking everywhere!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Camelbak Hydrolock, November 27, 2011
By Cynthia A Love
Hydrolock works very well. Inserted into existing tubing just like it is supposed to do and accepted the bite valve just like it is supposed to do. Received the product very quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  does what it's supposed to, November 5, 2011
By Michael G. Reiner (Phoenix, AZ)
I like the 90 degree bend, it makes the tube a little easier to get to when it's routed along my pack straps. The on/off valve is a plus to prevent leakage from the bite valve during transport to the trailhead.

There's not much else to say... The HydroLock does exactly what I wanted it to. No issues at all with it.
