5.0 out of 5 stars.  Better than Assos, March 20, 2010
By bostonears (Lincoln, MA United States)
As an avid cyclist for many years, I've tried just about every chamois/skin cream on the market. The thinner creams (such as regular Chamois Butt'r) don't last long enough for a full day ride. The stick type lubricants like BodyGlide aren't slippery enough, and as they wear into the skin, they lose more glide, so you end up with a tacky film that's worse than using nothing. The thicker creams, like Assos and Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle last longer, and they have great lubricating properties. Assos is very good, but I like Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle better. It lasts even longer, and it's less expensive to boot. (Beware of seemingly low priced containers of Assos, as they are usually smaller containers.)

Simply put, Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle is the best cycling skin lubricant I've found at any price, and it's price happens to be lower than it's top competition. What's not to like?

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Cool and comfortable, August 12, 2009
By F. Jones (Kansas)
My first foray into the chamois cream market. The cream definitely helps keep you more comfortable and I little seems to go a long way. The eurostyle cream has a definite menthol type feel to it that might be too much for some users, that sensation seemed to subside after a minute or two.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Great chamois lube, but menthol "tingle" is not to my liking, August 20, 2011
By A. Marklin (Columbia, MO United States)
I love the regular Butt'rChamois BUTT'r; it lubricates my skin really well and isn't greasy or uncomfortable, and lasts for hours. But it comes out of the tube like a paste and takes a little bit to work into your skin. I thought this "Eurostyle" cream formula might be easier to use.
The good news is that it works as well as regular Butt'r, and does go on easier and smoother. I liked it right away. But "Eurostyle" apparently means "Now with added Menthol" and when the menthol takes hold and begins to "cool" your nether regions it's...unpleasant. It doesn't hurt by any means, but it feels to me like I've got ice in my shorts, and I don't really care for that feeling. Takes about 20-30 minutes for it to fade.
I'll finish the jar, but I don't think I'll be buying it again. Too bad, because I like the formulation better than the paste.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  cool and cheap, February 6, 2010
By Trackie (Seattle, WA USA)
I really like this version because it has that cooling effect when it goes on, but also doesn't get all slimy in your shorts either. It holds up well, washes out nicely and is far less expensive with similar results to the Swiss brand it competes with.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Works as advertised!, August 5, 2010
By Jeffrey E. Galinat
This chamois creme works as advertised. I have tried a few on the market with my previous favorite being the old white Assos formulation. However, I feel the new blue formulation Assos is not as good and and you seem to use more to get the same effect as it does not seem as dense. So I was looking for an Assos replacement and the Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle creme does the job for me. It provides all of the same protection as the Assos in a large long-lasting container at a much better price. This is the only creme I am buying from now on.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Top notch; would recommend to anyone, July 26, 2010
By Me
I run between 40 - 50 miles a week in very humid conditions. This product is great! Not a single thing negative to say. Chaffing is now a thing of the past. I have tried other products and they have failed - this one has not.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  I dig the Menthol, January 16, 2012
By Evaluator
I find this to be an outstanding product to prevent or soothe chafing. It's effective on several skin irritations. I enjoy the cooling sensation of the menthol in this euro version because my body tends to run a little hot. The menthol is noticeable after application. I could certainly see how some may not like the cooling effect and thus should use the regular (non Euro-Style) version. I also prefer the tub style packaging for home use. The tubes and packs are fantastic for travel and portability but the tub allows better access and assures that you'll have no trouble being able to use every bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  This stuff is essential for long rides., January 1, 2012
By Marlborough (San Rafael, CA)
This is one of those products that seem a little weird to beginning cyclists, but is essential for enjoying long rides without the discomfort of skin being rubbed raw by friction of one sort or another.

For rides in the 50-100+ mile range, just slather on liberally and you are good to go. You'll forget you have it on, but wherever your range limit is (mine tends to be up around 90+ miles), you won't have any issues from friction with your saddle. You can focus on the other stuff that hurts! (It's not really needed for short rides, but it can't hurt)

I like the menthol ingredient, but some may not. You don't feel it after a few miles.

Cleans off easily from body and clothing.

I'd give this product 6 stars if I could. Tried a few others, this is the best. This size container lasts quite a while.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent prodect..just completed my first Triple Bypass in Colorado.... no saddle sores, July 22, 2011

Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle is my favorite...... It's cheaper than most of the competitors and you get a larger capacity tub. I just completed my first Triple Bypass in Colorado (120 miles) and survived without any saddle sores

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Keeps me going, July 17, 2011
By God Squad 2 (Washington, DC)
I couldn't ride without this stuff. I've tried other "high-end" competitors and I thought that they did not perform as well as this Butt'r. I was really feeling the pain in a 100 mile indoor ride and I had to reapply quite often and the cooling nature was greatly helpful. I've also used the non-cooling version and find there isn't much difference. I do like the tub because I find it easier to apply but I've in my zealousness to ride forgotten to screw the lid all the way down which can lead to a drying out of the product. I'm taking 1 star off because in a perfect world this would last much longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  No more chafing, March 9, 2011
By chungking (California)
In combination with compression shorts, Chamois Butt'r has completely eliminated my chafing "down there" on long runs of three to four hours. A lifesaver. Far more effective for me than the stick, powder, and roll on products I'd previously tried.

The 8 ounce jar looks like it will last me forever, or at least a few years.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Stuff, February 22, 2011
By David M. Clark
Thought I would try a new chamois cream over the winter and this one was pretty cheap and had gotten good review, so I tried it. Very pleased with it and it will replace my other more expensive cream during the Tri season - but if you try it make sure you get the Eurostyle as the "regular" is not quite as good.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  the best so far, December 10, 2010
By H. Motyka (NJ)
Have tried several chamois creams and this is the best. It is really heavy so it tends to stay where you put it and not disappear into the chamois right away. Personally, the euro style helps me more than the regular, just be careful where you put it. Wouldn't take a chance on anything else at this point.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best of Breed!, November 23, 2010
By Cyclotourist (Fairfax County, VA USA)
I do about 200 miles a month, and I've been bicycling since the 1980s. I've tried them all and Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle does the trick. Other products are either too thin or don't last. There is a slight sting if you put it on when there's chafing. Also, you need to take care as you apply it: its persistence makes it a bit messier if you get it on clothes or furniture or bedspreads or towels or... That's a small price to pay for something that works so much better than the others. I'm buying a second jar to keep with cycling stuff in the car. It would be nice if this also came in packets.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  great for chafing, October 29, 2010
By S. Allard (New Hampshire)
My daughter needed this for all the running that they do for her sports team. After running a couple of miles she was getting chafed. Once she started using this - no more chafing and not the stiff sticky feeling of some of the other chafing products that seem to be geared toward runners. This product was geared to bikers, but we found it worked great just the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Wow! No chafing!, October 25, 2010
By A. Scharfenberger (Nashville, TN)
I am new to cycling, but am not new to trying to find a good product to prevent chafing. I am a larger individual that has to put some sort of cream on when going to exercise. This is a wonderful whipped, smooth, and oddly cooling (menthol) lubricant. I wish I would have found it sooner and saved myself years of discomfort when hot and sweaty. I will be buying another tub of this when it is gone.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Best chamois cream at any price..., October 20, 2010
By B. Platt (Seattle, WA)
I've tried a couple different chamois creams (usually when the local shop didn't have the EuroStyle Chamois Butt'r) and I've always regretted it. This is a much thicker cream that doesn't dissipate. It's all good ... lasts hours and hours without chafing. I used this for a 160 mile ride this fall, with ~16,000 feet of climbing, and although the rest of my body was sore ... this stuff lasted all day.

The only mistake you can make is using something else. Go EuroStyle.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good product, August 23, 2010
By LCSW (Kokomo, IN)
Have used this before but was in the tube. This cuts down on any waste as can get it all out the container. There is a cool menthol-like sensation when first put it on. Takes a little getting used to but not really a problem. If have any chafing after a ride it can sting a little if you put it on. Does not leave any greasy marks and aborbs well.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Better than petroleum jelly, but not as good as other options, July 26, 2011
By W. Krakar (Austin TX)
I received my frist Chamois butt'r as a giveaway at a local ride. I never used it until I started to experience some chafing. It does work if you already have some existing raw areas that you don't want rubbing on a long ride.

I have found from experience that in order to get desired results on long rides, it works best to really apply this stuff very liberally. If you don't put on enough, and it dissipates during the ride, your skin can start to stick and rub more than would otherwise be the case.

The 8 ounce container definitely helps with being able to put the cream on thick. Apply to chamois and skin in large quantities. Squeezing needed amounts out of the tube container is a hassle eliminated by the big tub.

Not as good as some other options but also not as expensive. Good for irritated skin, but I recommend another more expensive product for individuals with saddle sores that are turning into open wounds and cost is no object.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  First cream I've tried and I got saddle sores (female), May 16, 2012
By Amber Pollard (Pasadena, CA)
This is the first chamois cream I've tried -- I chose it because it was highly rated, $15 at the time, and menthol sounds great to reduce hot feeling from friction.

For my first use, I spread it thinly on the chamois, so that it was basically clear. I biked for a minute and realized my shorts were chaffing, so returned and added more, this time enough that I could see areas where it was kind-of piled on. I rode to work (five miles) and then tried to remove the cream with my normal washing routine before work -- wiping everything with cotton pads soaked in witch hazel, rubbing alcohol and dissolved aspirin. It didn't come off well and I felt it was irritating my parts, but I wasn't sure.

The next day I did the same and my parts felt even more irritated, and then I got several large saddle sores and so could not ride for a week.

Let me know if I've done something wrong.

This Chamois Butt'r really works well. I think it works better than the more expensive brands I have used. I will continue to use it and recommend the "Eurostyle" Chamois Butt'r.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  worth the price., February 26, 2012

Worth the price. It lubricates the skin pretty well. In addition to reducing the fiction it also gives the cooling sensation because of menthol

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good product, December 10, 2011
By TNWoman
My husband and I do long bike rides between 25-30 miles. We tried a variety of products until we found this one. It's the best one we have used. It is very smooth to apply and helps prevents friction a great deal. It is a far smoother consistency than the one in the tube by the same mfg. The Amazon price is very reasonable. We found that by buying two from Amazon therey getting free shipping, we were getting the 2nd container almost free as compared to buying them locally. It's a great product at a great price.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Not the best lubricant, November 10, 2011
By Richard Lee (San Diego, CA)
I have been using Vaseline for years before any lubricating products and it had done wonders keeping me from chafing. The only draw back is it is difficult to wash out and tends to contaminate other items of clothing if the shorts are not washed by them selves.

I purchase this after reading all the positive reviews just to try. After using it for 2 months of training and racing I am switching back to Vaseline for any long rides or hard rides. It just does not offer enough lubrication nor last long enough for my use. It might be good for casual rides but not for long high cadence rides.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  does the job, menthol mroe subtle than expect, October 4, 2011
By C. Barnes (birmingham,al)
Maybe my "area" is not very sensitive, but I didn't detect much menthol cooling from this cream. For me, this actually turned out for the best, since I prefer the non-cooling cream and only bought this b/c it was cheaper than the regular. Does the job at the right price.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Gave it a try and now I'm sold, September 28, 2011
By Reviewer
I hadn't used anything like this product during my several years of cycling, but now that I've tried it out I won't leave the house without it - in fact I've gone back home several times to put some on after leaving the house! Comes in a big jar and the consistency is such that I think it'll last quite a while. Absolutely essential for riding more than 10 miles.

By Over Drive (Cedar Falls, Iowa)
This is my second order of this product and it works great...I will continue to buy it as long as they make it. It isn't greasy like some others but keeps the friction down the entire ride / run. Also like that you can use every last bit of it...no waste.
