Inconsistent quality, November 23, 2011

I agree with the other reviewers--this product has serious quality problems. I purchased two of these last fall to cover my bikes. Both bikes are stored out of the sun under a shed. One cover is still good, and the other one is disintegrating. I can't recommend this product as you won't know if you'll get a good one or a bad one.

Not at all durable, September 4, 2010

I bought 2 bicycle pajamas from a different vendor, not Amazon. I've always had good service from Amazon. I was so disappointed with the performance of these covers that I needed to let other people know. I covered my bikes and placed them under the stairs, out of full sunlight and out of the wind. Even with minimal exposure, the covers didn't last longer than 4 months before tearing. Not at all durable. I would not recommend them.

Inconsistent Quality, May 30, 2010

I've purchased two of the Kool Stop Bicycle Pajamas, one in late Sep 09 and another in early Nov 09. Both have been covering bicycles in a fairly shady SF bay area back yard since purchased.
As of May 30, 2010 the original one is in perfect condition, and the Nov 09 purchase is utterly trashed. The bad cover simply rips apart with slight movement, or even under it's own weight once it starts tearing.
My assumption is that the issue is UV damage, as the [leather] saddle of the bike under the ripping cover is now significantly bleached. Curiously, the [leather] saddle on the bike under the older, "good", cover shows no signs of UV damage.
Suggest purchasing a different cover. I've had good luck with Xtracycle's showercap on my cargo bike. It's large enough to cover two regular bikes side-by-side.

Five stars for what I paid, October 31, 2011

Bought two. Covers both my beach cruiser that has an enormous basket on the front) and my boyfriend's beach cruise, perfectly fine. We live on the beach and the salt in the air was starting to rust our bikes :/ these covers were a wonderful solution. We use pins to keep the bottom pinched closed but that doesn't bother us. Great product!
