cycling gloves, July 8, 2009

I got the gloves because of numbness in my hands while riding, they have worked out well.... The padding and gel have taken the pressure off and I can now ride for a couple of hours without constantly taking my hands off the bars switching positions and no more dead hands. I would recommend them. Plus they look pretty good with my pink bike.

PEARL IZUMI WOMEN'S SELECT GEL CYCLING GLOVE, April 2, 2010

I LOVE these gloves. Having large hands, I thought, I would wear, at least, a Lg.; however, a MEDIUM works just fine for me. The padding is in just the right places and helps a lot with fatigue in my wrists. They are quite comfortable, flexible, breathe well, easy to get off, work great in both cold and hot weather, and are very durable. I've had mine for a year and there is no problem with the stitching. Also, there is an area on the gloves for wiping sweat away from your forehead. That is a real plus in Florida.

I should have bought these a size smaller. Either way, the padding isn't as good as my old Body Geometry Specialized gloves. I also miss having a decent "nose wipe" area. I'm going to keep these as my backup gloves and will probably buy more Specialized gloves. Otherwise, I haven't had any problems with other Pearl Izumi products.

Wonderful!, August 25, 2010

My gloves came today, so I took them on a 2-hour ride. WOW! This is the first time I have ridden my bike without ANY tingling or numbness in my hands! Definitely worth the cost! Also very cool, which is important when biking in Florida in the summer--the air flows right through the backs. I always thought I had small hands but measurements indicated I needed a Large, which fits well, so be sure to use their sizing guide and measure your hands before ordering.

good cushioning, October 13, 2010

These are my first pair of cycling gloves so I don't know how they compare to others. They seem to be holding up well and have made a noticeable difference in cushioning my wrist from vibrations. Before I started wearing the gloves, a latent carpal tunnel discomfort was flaring up, but the gloves have alleviated that. So that has been a good thing. I think I am getting to the point that the gloves need to be washed and I'm not sure how that will go. But so far, I have been pleased and would recommend these to others who are at least casual cyclists. I ride several times a week between 10-20 miles.

well padded, June 9, 2010

The gel padding does wonders! I have a white road bike and the pink goes pretty well with it. when I bike, my hands turn red from the pressure I exert on them (I have weak wrists/hands) so these gel pads do me a great favor if I am in for a long ride. plus, it keeps my hands a little warmer when I ride at night. o, it helps my hands from slipping on the handlebars too, not that it happens very often..
