4.0 out of 5 stars.  Really good, comfortable glove- I hope it doesn't tear..., October 11, 2009
By Hawaii commuter (Hawaii)
I have used these gloves now for about two weeks, and I really like these gloves. That said, these gloves don't seem like they will stand up to my daily commute for long. I hope that I am wrong; The gloves are very comfortable, they fit well on my hands, (I have XL hands), I love the pad on the thumb to wipe away sweat, and the padding on the palm is in all the right places. I just don't have much confidence that these gloves will last all that long with my daily commute. Other gloves I have used have split along seams after wearing them for a while, and I think these gloves are next in line.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Pretty good, August 5, 2010
By P. Mizulski
These are alright for the price. It's been a nice all around road biking glove for about 20 rides, but it's also had a couple hiccups. First of all, after about ride 4 or 5, the stitching at the inner tip of the right pinky started to unravel itself. This was easily cured before worsening into a state of disrepair by my crazy sewing skills (which included not only a 1 inch repair but also some mad reinforcement continuing an inch beyond the fabric separation). Not too bad, but a fault in craftsmanship nonetheless. My biggest gripe about the gloves lies in the padding. Most of my weight is supported by my legs, but of course there is a certain amount of downward force transferred into my palms as well. If there weren't, the padding in certain areas wouldn't have flattened out to an almost nonexistent presence after around 20 or so rides. The glove was decadent during the first dozen rides, but it's like the padding in those key pressure points gradually compressed to a point where it doesn't exist anymore. It seems all that separates those points from the bar is a barrier of leather. . . kinda like riding with a simple pair of leather gloves without padding. Let's just say I've become accustomed to shifting the position of my hands many many times over throughout the ride. Shifting around all the time really gets annoying when I'm forced to sacrifice that sweet spot. You know the one - the spot where you have the finest coalescence of comfort, power, aero, and efficiency. Enough with the gripes. What's good about the glove? In my personal experience, they are true to size. I've always been a medium sized hand, ordered a pair in medium, and the medium fits very well. They're comfortable on the inside. This is after I cut the tags. They're fairly breathable. It certainly isn't an ideal midwestern summer pair of gloves, but they do the trick of alleviating any saturation. Other than the previously mentioned stitching mishap, they actually feel and look quite durable. The palm stitching, and the thumb/fore finger web stitching - where most of the abuse is taken - has held up considerably well, and I expect it to go the distance. I haven't washed them yet, so I can't tell you how they hold up to a machine, 'cause that's where they'll be going regardless of washing instructions. But, I expect them and my stitching job to hold up. The hook and loop wrist cuff closure does it's job without faltering. Overall, a decent value.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Overpriced; Undervalued, August 15, 2010
By Constantine
I wore these gloves on a bike tour recently. After about 10 miles, my hands were aching. The gloves have very little padding in them. At the price they charge, I wondered why not. Thank goodness I had my old pair with me. These gloves are pretty though. I gave them to a rider next to me.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Poor Padding, April 18, 2012
By Rock
Just got finished from my first ride with these gloves. I must say I am disappointed. What padding there is is very thin. No padding up the center of the palm [the life line]. My hands started to feel numb fairly quickly. No sweat padding on top of thumb. I will not be using these again and would not recommend these to anyone.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Pretty Decent, May 11, 2012
By Steven
Typically bike around 40 miles on a given day or half that if I have other things to do and for about 20 miles they feel really nice but coming back on the other 20 miles my hands would literally begin to feel numb, even with the gloves. Before I thought maybe my hoods were too low and too much pressure on my hands but from personal and professional adjustments I needed gloves if I wanted to keep going.

I like them a lot but I kind of just wish there was either more padding or at least better quality padding. Other than that, it feels like this is really 60% looks/style and 40% actual padding protection.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Defective, May 7, 2012
By Dave
The gloves arrived and I put them on. When I took them off after an hour or so, I noticed that the stitching was defective and had completely missed the material in one area. Can't find receipt, blah blah, etc. Not happy and too much trouble to return. Will go for another brand next time after reading the other post with additional defective stitching.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Fine , light weight summer gloves, September 27, 2010
By MACschwa (Maine)
The gloves arrived right on time via Amazon prime . The fabric and the padding seem a little thin. I prefer a little more padding right in the center of the palm. They are well made, look good, and are very comfortable. Like I said I like gloves that are a little more substantial. But they are fine gloves for short summer road rides. I have worn them on my 11.5 m( one way) commute for over a month and they have held up fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Quality gloves - Good price, July 22, 2010
By Jonathan Bundy (Indiana, USA)
I've gone on about a half dozen rides with these gloves and like them alot. The padding/gel is in the right places and they're relatively breathable. They look good too.

Since I just got them it remains to be seen how well they'll hold up, but will give them 5 stars for now. Will update in the future if this changes.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Good glove for the price., June 24, 2010
By DakineBoarder99 (Rochester Hills, MI)
Great glove for the price. Padding could be placed better on the glove. The padding should be placed at the bottom of your hand and it instead is focused on the sides. Not bad at all for the price. I would recommend. Padding could be better focused though.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  So far, so good., April 4, 2012
By John D. Meara (Barrington, Rhode Island)
I got these gloves after purchasing my bike, as my brother told me any cyclist worth anything has a set. So I did some research and found these. I got them to provide the padding to my hand and to look like a cyclist.

These totally meet my needs.

Pros: Well stitched; great fit; respected bike company; well-reviewed.

Cons: There is one area where I do feel as though the padding is a little lacking. It is by the base of hand, close to my wrist on the outside of my hand (follow the pinkie down the side of your hand and just above the wrist). This could be my personal grip. However, this has not presented any problems as of yet.

I give this product my stamp of approval and recommend it to any cyclist who are in need of affordable, well made gloves.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great gloves so far, April 1, 2012
By SB
I have only used these for a week so far, but it is my first pair of riding gloves and I enjoy using them a lot. It feels good to wear gloves and it helps me feel more secure on the bike to use them. I'm hoping the mesh on the front will help me not get too hot in the dead of the summer, but we'll see. I ordered a medium. It seemed to maybe be the slightest bit tight when I got it and I was unsure if I should return it. i ended up just going with my gut and keeping them and they were fine. All they needed was one ride to feel right. Now I think the size is perfect for my hands.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  I would not buy again, August 8, 2011
By Ecdycis
These gloves fit fairly well. My only gripe in regards to the fit would have to be that on my right glove the seam on the forefinger and thumb was irritating after about two hours of riding. I cannot stand the padding. It makes riding uncomfortable in fact I have more comfort going glove free. They are made well though, with standing mild falls and they wash well. The sweat wiping area is large and soft. Some people may like the padding I found it hard and unbearable at the end of the day.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  If the glove fits, July 27, 2011
By samsonitte (Sierra Vista, AZ USA)
Really do like this glove for road cycling. I have noticed an improvement in my comfort while riding 10+ miles each day. I have ridden mostly in the early morning in temps like 75-80 and the glove is not hot by any means. Deffinately a summer glove. I noticed one thumb got streched out after my second ride with them and looks like it won't be returning back to normal size again. That would be the only gripe I have about these giro gloves.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  GIRO cycling gloves, July 6, 2011
By Curacao0311
Ive only worn them for a few hundred miles, but they seem to be holding up well. True to size. The black thumb area is a soft chamois that is great for wiping sweat. The padding is thick enough to make a difference. Good gloves for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Glove!, June 29, 2011
By CaptainAJ
Awesome glove at a very reasonable price. I bought these gloves for my wife and she loves them. Word of warning, however. Amazon's sizing chart runs small. Other reviews have confirmed this, too. Based on the sizing chart, my wife should wear a medium glove. I trusted my instincts and went with an large; I'm glad I did. The large fits snug, yet she says it's comfortable. A medium would've been too small.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  My first experience with Giro Bravo Cycling Cloves, May 28, 2011
By KT
Received this item today and tried it immediately. The design and quality was good. The color also match the main colours of my road bike which was yellow, white and black.

Only thing was that I should perhaps go for a size "L" instead of size "M". It was a bit too tight when I put it on and a bit difficult to take it off as well. I have earlier decided on size "M" following the measurement guideline on the product page.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  awesome!, March 22, 2011
By R. Kolb
this is a great glove. Just enough padding, although I prefer a little more like on the Giro Monaco, but these were about $12 less.

I hand wash these in lukewarm water in a bucket with detergent. I read somewhere that machine washing these was a bad idea.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great gloves, October 18, 2010
By Bernard M. Weinraub (Pasadena, CA)
These are excellent gloves. The gel pads are firm, as they should be, and are placed perfectly to support the hand on long rides. There's even some padding on the index finger.

They fit extremely well--to the point of seeming a bit too tight when brand new. But they stretch to conform to your hand perfectly during the first ride or two.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Have only got to use them once so far, September 25, 2011
By DAN (STL)
As I said, I have only gotten to use these once so far, but they were very comfy and worked very well. My hands have around a 11" circumfrance around the palm (around all fingers except thumb) and the XL fit perfectly, not too tight and not too loose. These look awesome and have plenty of padding but do not limit finger movement. Also, as someone else said, the cloth on the thumb is really nice for wiping away sweat from your forehead. Unfortunately for me, I cracked my MTB's frame the first time I got to use these, so I wont get to try them out again until I get my new frame in.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good minimalist glove., September 1, 2011
By Rocky (Ohio)
These Bravo style gloves are more to the liking of Pro cyclist they have minimal protection in high contact area's. I have not wore them long so I'll have to see how they stand up to wear.
My opinion:
I would like to see a little more padding in the heal of the hand especially for longer rides. Though the overall style and fit make this a good glove to look at when you buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Awesome for price, August 31, 2011
By J. Key (Atlanta, GA)
These gloves are great for their price point. They are well ventilated so they stay cool and mine have been surprisingly durable! I have had them for close to two years and they are still doing fine (albeit, a little dirty). I use them for mountain biking but I used them also as weight-lifting gloves for about 6 months before I bought a real pair. I'll probably order another pair as a backup. Beware, it is padded but this glove is for people that want minimal padding.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good gloves!, January 29, 2012
By Tan101
These biking gloves are very comfortable and help get rid of the blisters you get without gloves. The gloves have comfortableness padding and fit great on your hands. The threading at the end of the gloves seems cheap because it kind of fails and starts to break apart early. You can fix it easily be re stitching the end of the gloves where the fingers are.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Comfortable Gloves, October 10, 2011
By Hilo Z (Hawaii)
I was looking for a comfortable set of gloves that was light, cool and yet able to grip the handles with enough padding. The leather padding aloud for a good grip and absorb vibration. The netted materials on the back of the glove provided good venting to keep it cool and comfortable. Very satisfied with these gloves. Fit is very good. Recommend buying a set for the price offered on Amazon (about $19) verses the retail store at $25.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Lightweight and Comfortable, May 17, 2012
By Doctor Diesel (Detroit Suburb, MI)
THe Giro Bravo cycling gloves are lightweight, comfortable, and provide ample cushioning for the approximately 25 miles I ride daily. The mediums I bought ran a tad smaller than I expected, but over time they did stretch out a bit so ultimately no complaints.
