Combining a snug-fitting ergonomic design with high-quality construction, the Giro Tessa women's cycling gloves are ideal for recreational cyclists or riders who prefer the feel of more traditionally padded gloves. The Tessa gloves are made using Giro's Super Fit design, which features Clarino synthetic leather for enhanced durability and a three-panel palm for a tailored fit. The glove's optimized EVA padding in the palm, meanwhile, enhances comfort without sacrificing control. Other features include a moisture-wicking, breathable mesh back with a four-way stretch; a highly absorbent microfiber wiping surface; a sonic-welded pull tab; and a low-profile Velcro closure. The Tessa is the product of Giro's Super Fit Engineering, a proprietary process that guides the fit, design, and patterning of every Giro glove for maximum comfort and performance. By carefully tailoring the palm, fingers, and padding zones to match the shape and size of the hand, Super Fit Engineering reduces bunching and discomfort while enhancing the grip, bar feel, and effectiveness of the padding. And with as many as six sizes available per model, almost any rider can find a great pair of gloves to match her needs. About Giro Working late nights in his garage, designer/bike racer Jim Gentes created the first lightweight adult cycling helmet in 1985. Friends at NASA helped him tune the final helmet shape and vent placement, resulting in the Giro Prolight, a helmet that was better looking and better fitting than traditional designs yet still met the industry's toughest safety standards. Plus, it was half the weight of traditional helmets. Since then, Giro has advanced its helmets, many of which have set the standards for styling, function, and innovation for progressive, performance-oriented riders on dirt, pavement, and snow. Giro helmets are worn by millions of riders, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders around the world: young bloods and old-timers; hardcores, heshers, and hipsters; rookies, experts, and a few regular Joes too--in fact, pretty much anyone that appreciates superior fit and function, cutting edge styling, and the very best ideas you get in a helmet. Giro is based in Scotts Valley, California.

Lightly padded, September 29, 2009
By Beth (Tennessee)

I bought these because I was having numbness of my hands due to heavily padded gel gloves and heavily padded handlebar tape. These are lightly padded, particularly on the middle part of the wrist, and are much better. Sizing seems correct. Durability is yet to be judged.

Giro Gloves, February 15, 2011

Great gloves. My sis put them for good use. The sizes do run small, so beware. I ordered a "large," but they fit "just right" on her small hands.

Great gloves, January 10, 2011

These gel gloves are lightweight and very pretty. They absorb shock very well, and are well ventilated. Not recommended for cool weather, but perfect for summer and warm weather.

Loved them when they arrived, used them for about 200 miles on hybrid and road bike, and last week: Rippped. I didn't wash them, no wear there. I was disappointed.

Giro Womens Gloves, September 2, 2011

I little Pricey(4 stars)but it's fair market for name brand. They are attractive gloves and comfortable if you get the right fit. The down-sides are the color(dirties fast, the size, runs small, and the material is a great light weight which could lend itself to seams pulling apart over some sweat/weather/ wear and tear, or if you wash them. I just got them so i can't really comment on durability. Great gloves though, no numbness and comfortable, but sizing is key.
Bought a size Large which equates to my
Reebok Fitness Glove - Size Small
Bell Bike Glove - Size S/M and
Hand measurement for me is 8 1/2" (Around Palm, directly over knuckle bones)
Glove measurement(same area)when laid flat is about 7 1/2".
When worn they sit just short of my wrist bone, so ideal for me, and just shy of all of my finger knuckles.
The padding(palm)is minimal but if you just rest all of your weight on your upper palms when riding, it could give slight numbness on some people.(vice no padding at all) Not an issue for me, but it's a point to mention.

Comfortable gloves, August 26, 2011
By Teacher2

Gloves are very comfortable, look nice, just the right amount of cushioning. According to the on-line measurements I needed a Large, however, since I have only worn XS and Small I didn't think that could possibly be accurate. I ordered a small and it fits great. Snug, but that is as it should be. Cool, well-ventilated, easy on and off. Overall, great glove for the price.

Good value for the price, August 29, 2011
By L. Westfall (carolinas)

I just got these today. They fit perfectly. I know that form me, in ordinary rubber gloves a medium fit well. However I'm glad that I didn't decide to get the medium when I ordered these and opted for a large since there were plenty of prior ratings that said these gloves run small. They are comfortable, light weight and seem to be easily washable if needs be since they are afterall microfiber. I am although unsure how it will measure up to wear and tear of normal wear in combination with regular laundering with the pads. Still I have seen these for as much as $30 yet these were under $19. Even still I think these are a good value for the price. i think I will really enjoy using these!
