high quality muli-tool, November 24, 2009

purchased the lezyne stainless multi-tool based on the amount of useful tools and by the quality shown in the pictures. there were no reviews to go off of at the time of my purchase. which is why i am writing this review. i was not disappointed when i recieved this tool. the quality was every bit if not more than what i expected. all of the tools fold in and out very smoothly and the quality of the metal used is very good. one of the draw backs to using good tool steel is the weight. it is alittle heavy but not so when considering the amount of tools included. if i were a weight weenie i would probably opt for a lezyne with less tools, maybe a 12 piece. since i've purchased the tool i have used it twice. the fist time for a broken chain that also broke the rear derailer hanger. both the chain breaker and the hex keys worked flawlessly with out any flex or monkey business. the second time was to adjust the pivot on my seat with another hex key and again it worked perfectly. over all i am very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to purchase other lezyne products.

High quality tool, July 12, 2010

I bought this tool at the LBS at list price. I originally intended to get the Topeak Hexus 16 after some online study, but when I examined this Lezyne tool I was impressed by the appearance. The Hexus 16 is 160g and this tool is 150g, so not too bad for weight considering it has 20 tool uses vs 16. It only has one tire "spoon", but it's also stainless, and I usually use my hands mainly anyway, so it will work in a pinch on the trail. I'm a tool guy and I'm pretty good at evaluating good tool choices and this is a finely made tool. I liked this tool so much, it influenced me in selecting a Lezyne seat bag wedge, which also appears to be a quality item.
