A cheaply built throw away unit., April 09, 2015

Drive gear broke after 2 years use, would be an easy repair but cannot get a replacement anywhere to repair it, basically a throw away unit.

It would be easy for an amateur to piece the shredded pieces together ..., August 02, 2014

The shred size is too big for confidential documents. It would be easy for an amateur to piece the shredded pieces together if someone wanted to. Look at the size of the output and you'll see what I mean. Also, the machine does not tolerate the maximum claimed sheets easily and constantly: It does jam with constant feeding. Finally, two of the machines I have used stopped allowing auto feed. Something went wrong with the electronics or electromechanical controls. I saw this on two different machines of this model number. There are less expensive and more secure shredders out there. I have used these at work and not found them effective.

Owned since Sept 2008 and still working without issues, July 08, 2013

Just needs normal maintenance such as adding oil to the shredder blades.
Custom size shredder bags are the only point of contention due to cost. However, bags are routinely on sale.

It is jammed. I do not use it that often and I do not put much in it. However I cannot figure out how to unjam it. It is dead right now. It is less than one nmonth old.
