4.0 out of 5 stars  Nice hard bristles. NOT WOOD. A week until the bristles came out in chunks. Still searching for wood and natural brush.
By J Webb on February 04, 2016
I am having the worst time trying to find a wooden toothbrush with Natural Bristles. Everything I see is either or.

When I originally purchased these I thought it was wooden and natural and it is my fault. My hours of looking must have made my brain mush.
Anyway when they arrived needless to say I was bummed it wasnt wood firstly.

But they each come in their own plastic container. The toothbrush heads are slightly longer than the average toothbrush so it took me a few days to get used to it.

The bristles are definitely hard. But over the course of a few days they soften up a little bit. Just a little.
After a week I had my first problem with a section of the bristles coming out while I was brushing. Gag me.

What I am wanting is a biodegradable toothbrush. I have read so many stories recently about toothbrushes washing up on beaches etc. I know there are other things, possibly more damaging. But this is just one of the steps I want to make out of many others.

So since I cant find a toothbrush that is both wooden and natural bristled. I have decided that the wooden handle might be the best route. The wood will biodegrade. Which is the biggest portion.

I am going to continue on with these brushes. Until I cant stand the bristles coming out in my mouth any longer. Then continue my search for a better toothbrush.
I am up for suggestions or ideas.

A very good product. Does a real deep cleaning. Bristles are able to stand up and clean, while the plastic bristles, I used to use, fold and don't clean.

Bristles fell out after a few times of use, and it was very disusing to clean them out of my mouth. Not a very solid product, will not by again.

I was unable to find hard toothbrushes for over a decade. My theory is: The do not sell them to the public anymore so dentist have more business removing accumulated tartar at a very high price. I am very satisfied with these toothbrushes but they do not last for a long time.
