This is a great toothbrush. Very soft bristles that do not irritate my gums. I will definitely order again!

5.0 out of 5 stars  Best toothbrush ever

Best toothbrush ever!
My dentist told me that I had receding gums, and I think it's I used an electric held along the gum line for 4 minutes (that is what they said to do!)
So, since he said that, I have tried all the extra-soft toothbrushes, and "natural bristle soft", and they wear out pretty quick.
But this lactona one is divine!!
I can feel it cleaning thoroughly and gently!
Best find ever!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars  Best toothbrush I have ever had

I absolutely love this toothbrush. I think the secret is that the bristles are actually very long. It greatly aids the brush in doing a "detailed" job of brushing your teeth. Twenty years or more ago when I was eight our family dentist used to give us this one as the "free" toothbrush we got to take home. I didn't appreciate it then thinking all toothbrushes were this great. It was so soft, so comfortable, very easy on the gums. The bristles are quite a bit longer than on the average toothbrush so you don't get the "floor scrubbie" feeling with this toothbrush--like you scrubbing your teeth with a wash rag. Rather, each soft and flexible bristle finds its own little "nook" in your teeth spaces or gumline and you can thoroughly-- but gently, without too much pressure-- clean many surfaces of your tooth. My mouth just feels cleaner when I use this and it is extremely easy on my gums. I have healthy gums, I don't think particularly sensitive, but I do not like that "poky" feeling when a sharp bristle pokes my gum, and I don't like the stinging of brushing away at them with a full toothbrush.

I have tried both the Abc oral care brush and the Nimbus, both getting rave reviews from amazon. They were indeed much softer than this (the lactona), but I did not like that they felt like a solid sheet of bristles rather than individual bristles. I felt like they did not clean my teeth as well, but that is my personal preference! But they were very soft.

I am gentle with my dental care and do not push too hard, so I don't wear out this brush much. However, I think that if you press harder the brush may not last very long as the bristles are more springy and more soft. It might tend to flair out more quickly than other brushes. I have to include that as a caveat :). But I have tried many many brushes and this is by far my favorite :).

As a reference, my other favorite toothbrush before I found this again was a mentadent.
