 Excellent Toothbrush - Broke after 2 years. :(

Excellent toothbrush. Philips makes one of the best in the market. I had one prior to this one (screw-on brush heads) that lasted about 6 years. It was well worth the price paid for it.
This one seemed to be a better design and has a couple more features than my previous model, easy to swap heads.
The reason I'm subtracting two stars is because I've had it 2 years and 6 months and the handle, where the brush attaches, broke. It doesn't vibrate anymore and is extremely loud. This should have lasted longer. I'm 6 months outside the warranty so I'm out-of-luck on that as well.
There is a replacement, the 6930 on Amazon for about $80 or so. Hopefully it'll lasts longer than 2 years.

Philips Sonicare lasts less than 3 years.

I bought this item 2 yrs. and 11 months ago and it has already started to act up. I don't know what warranty there is on this product but it seems that for the price I paid, It should have lasted longer. I'm disappointed and will probably go back to my Oral B.

I like this toothbrush but there is a complaint about it. That is why I take out a star.
I do not like the way it attracts dirt and other bathroom particles.
Also the base its not supportive enough for its weight.
It would be nice if the power cord wouldn't interfere with its balance and if it would be a bit longer and somehow stay put,instead of hanging in the air.
The brush is a bit to small and gets wasted easily which can get pretty expensive.
That's all the complaint:).

Two years of solid service; will continue with another Sonicare.

Great toothbrush! Mouth/teeth always feels clean and fresh after brushing.
The only downside is that the rubber portion of the brush starts to come off after two years of usage (the brush has a two-year warranty and should anything happen, their customer service is great), even with carefully washing it after each use. The button became inoperable after two years but I upgraded to a Sonicare DiamondClean White Edition recently and noticed that they got ride of all those rubbery parts.
Again, just a really great toothbrush and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase Sonicare's products.

Sonicare toothbrushes work very well. My teeth feel cleaner than they ever have with a traditional toothbrush. I bought one of these (Flexcare), and it lasted 3 years and 4 months.
I had used the basic Elite series for a while, but the screw-in brushes got gross and smelly, so when the toothbrush died, I got the flex care. I like the snap on brush heads for these brushes. These are great brushes and do a great job cleaning, but I think they are too expensive and they include features I never used (and would bet most people don't use).
When this one died, I decided to go with the most basic Sonicare toothbrush that had the quadpacer and this style of snap-on brush head. At the time of this review, that ends up being the Gum Health Sonicare, which is $80 vs. the Flexcare at $130. So far, I'm happy with the gum health toothbrush, but it's only been a week. It's not quite as sleek as the Flexcare, but given that I never used the advanced features of the Flexcare, I feel like I've made a smarter purchase this time around. We'll see how long it lasts though.

REVIEW WRITTEN AFTER 1.5 YEARS

5 stars toothbrush, 0 stars docking station.
I bought this toothbrush after a very expensive dental cleaning to avoid future dentist visits. The toothbrush itself works great, and keeps my teeth and gums in good shape.
Unfortunately, the docking station charger is has broken on me twice (stopped charging the brush). The first time was about 8 months after purchase. I was able to get the station replaced free of cost under warranty (2 years). Now in Feb 2015 the replacement docking station has broken again. I have contacted customer support for another replacement. However my faith in the reliability of the toothbrush is now shaken.
I am still under the two year warranty. However if the docking station continues to break every 8 months next time I won't be.
