when I put the gel in my retainers then put them in my mouth the gel started to burn my gums and roof of my mouth very badly. they were only in for 30 seconds when I had to remove them because of the burning pain. when I took them out my gums were white and so was the roof of my mouth. it's 15 minutes later and the white gums have gone down but the throbbing pain still remains. not worth it at all

but feel like this product deserves one

I rarely write product reviews, but feel like this product deserves one. This whitener (combined with the custom molded trays, available in the full "starter" kit) works great! I generally use it a couple times a week, 1/2 to an hour at a time, and it really makes a difference! I am a die hard coffee drinker and am satisfied with the brightening power of this product. It does cause just a bit of sensitivity that goes away in a few hours, but isn't significant at all. At a fraction of the cost of whitening services at a dental office, I'll choose this route!
