The bristles are a bit firm, but I find running them under hot tap water for a moment helps them soften. My teeth feel cleaner than I'd expected with this.

Things I love about it:
- Made in Switzerland, not China!
- It's much greener than the mass-produce toothbrushes.
- The way my teeth and gums feel after brushing - very clean!
Things I don't like:
- This toothbrush is thin in general: handle and the part with the bristles, I like them wider.
