New edition is more concise with updated info. Great reference book for any office settings. Blue boxes are easy to find and contain the "in a nutshell" info on any topic. Must have!

The research data is old and the presentation of the material could be better. There are better books out there, March 21, 2015

Malmed has been the standard for a lot of years, but the book has become dated. The research data is old and the presentation of the material could be better. There are better books out there.

My review is of the Kindle edition. This is a great book, but don't buy the Kindle edition. Get the paperback.
Pros: -This is the gold standard book on the topic from a very thoughtful author who communicates a dry subject in an interesting an informative way.
Cons: -The appendix is NOT included. The description doesn't tell you this. The appendix is a quick reference guide for emergencies. The appendix is one of the most useful parts of the book. -The tables are scanned at too low of a resolution and are unreadable for me (using the Kindle app on a Windows RT tablet)
