My daughter's speech therapist lent us the DVD of Taming the Tongue Thrust, and we're finding it useful. I'd caution consumers against paying almost $200 for it, as it's available at the author's own website for only $100.

 Structure for Tongue Thruster, January 23, 2002

My son was a tongue thruster, causing speech impediments and huge orthodontic bills. At the beginning of the school year his 4th grade teacher suggested speech therapy (boy do i wish someone had offered this idea earlier) after 6 months he is doing amazing with therapy once a week and this GREAT guide. I would not say it is FUN, but it gives structure and patterns to fix the problem. and it wasn't TOO much torture for him :)
