Awful gut problems due to Xylitol

Originally I was going to give this product five stars because it worked the way it claimed it would, sticking to my gums and dissolving very slowly thus alleviating mouth dryness. However it turned out to give me a horrible stomach upset--cramps, runs, and--dare I mention it--terrible gas. I needed two or three Xylimelts over the course of a night to keep my mouth moist. Apparently this was more than my digestive system could handle. I turned out to be one of the multitude of people who is wildly allergic to Xylitol. The only good news is that the gut problems ended within a day of quitting Xylimelts.
