 Concerned about ingredient Propanediol

This is a review on the Tom's of Maine Mouthwash. Normally I wouldn't write a review about ingredients of natural products. However, I was concerned about some of the comments regarding the ingredient Propanediol 1,3 that's used in this product because my teenager wants to use a mouthwash. I did verify on the Tom's of Maine website that this ingredient is in the product (as of today November 5, 2013) and searched the ingredient to find that it is used in industrial commercial products (such as antifreeze and wood paint). Sorry, but it actually really does concern me. Instead, I decided to purchase VerMints All Natural PepperMints as an alternative. Yup it's a breath mint instead of mouthwash and I bought it because I can't find a mouthwash with all all-natural ingredients. My choice may not be yours but thought I would tell folks what I had found. As an aside, I really wish that products that advertize "all natural" really would be. Please note that the one star rating of this review is solely and completely based on the inclusion of Propanediol as an ingredient in this product.

I don't think I will use any other type of mouthwash. Excellent flavor that isn't overpowering or burn too deeply. Tastes fresh and leaves your mouth feeling fresh. I highly recommend.

This stuff will keep your mouth clean and fresh all day and over night. Toms toothpaste and mouthwash without fluoride are the best oral care products I've tried.

Most mouthwash is like kerosene or alcohol combined with laundry detergent and Phenylketonurics, actually I am being serious, thats what many actually contain !would you REALLY use any mouthwash that is so chemical that you cant eat or drink for a half hour after use ? NOT SO with Toms of Maine, cleans the mouth without chemical residue, has a nice mild mint flavor and is really not much more then name brand Toxicreine.

In my household we use a lot of Tom's products. from the mouthwash to toothpaste, to soap etc. And all of them does there job! Great for teens and adults. And if you have kids there is also a kids line of mouthwash and toothpaste, and even soaps. HIGHLY recommended!
