This was the one toothpaste I had settled on but is no longer produced. SLS give me migraine-like headaches that last 2-3 days. This is true for shampoos and toothpastes. So all the complaints about SLS that others make? They're real for me. I was happy to have a fluoride toothpaste option. Now it's gone. Unfortunately products that work for me frequently get pulled from the shelf a few months later.

I just started using this and so so so so glad I switched. The toothpaste seems to do an excellent job cleaning my teeth teamed with a Tom's toothbrush. My teeth feel like i just got back from the dentist after a professional cleaning. The taste is not overwhelming either. I'm reading that people are concerned with an ingredient causing canker sores. I am pretty prone to them and I've had no issues with this toothpaste at all... In fact the ones I had, went away since using this.

Toms of Maine Whole Care toothpaste is hands-down my all time favorite dental care product. Not because of all the usual dental care things it does--of course it cleans, whitens, brightens, freshens, provides fluoride and protects from cavities. It takes care of all those basics in a way that will make your dentist and dental hygienist very happy. It does so with a natural product which should please environmentalists and hippies from Vermont equally. The reason I love it so much is more basic, more organic, and more downright vital than those things, because it is a product I use in my mouth. What is that all-important factor, you may ask? I will tell you...it's flavor. I search high and low for Toms of Maine Whole Care toothpaste for the simple reason of its clove flavor. Not a harsh cinnamon or boring mint...this toothpaste is available in the spicy, refreshing, and slightly mysterious clove flavor. And that makes me happy.

I've used Tom's of Maine toothpaste for years. I now am used to the reduced sweetness and better flavor and can't stand "regular" toothpaste like Crest or Colgate anymore. My favorite flavor used to be Cinnamint...alas, they stopped making Cinnamint except in the Fluoride-free variety, which I don't use. I sent ToM mail to complain and they suggested I try this flavor instead. Hurrah, I love it, perhaps even more than my beloved Cinnamint. As to its cavity-fighting properties, I can't really say, other than to say that I've had one cavity in 20+ years that I've been using Tom's of Maine, so I guess it works?

First of all I do like Tom's of Maine toothpaste. It leaves my mouth refreshed and my teeth feeling very clean. It's a clean that lasts too. When I wake up in the morning I don't have the "yuke" feeling like I have to brush before I breath on the cat. I tried the Cinnamon and Cloves on a whim thinking it would probably be too strong for me but it's not at all. it's become my favorite flavor. I've read about the benefits of cinnamon and cloves. Maybe it helps make this toothpaste even healthier for the mouth.

I love this toothpaste and you can't find it in stores, at least where I live...I now use Toothbuilder, but this is a great product if you like cinnamon.
