Great!

The texture may be a bit weird at first (it's runny-er than more conventional pastes), but this is a great product! Here's what I know: the severe tooth sensitivity is 98% gone, my teeth are actually a bit whiter, my gums are healthier, no cavities or other dental issues, and my mouth just FEELS healthier overall. Which is backed up by the dentist - clean bill of dental health since I started using Peelu many years ago. Also, I am allergic/sensitive to flouride, sls, chemicals etc. and this is my favorite "natural" toothpaste (as if you couldn't tell). One 7 oz tube lasts me a long time; I think I only use something like two a year. The only drawback is that I can no longer find it in stores. Thanks Amazon!

Five stars for stains.

If you are concerned with the taste and texture of toothpaste, this will take a little getting used to. Not as sweet as mainstream toothpastes, not as bitey as Tom's of Maine. I would describe the flavor as mild. And the fibers in it are all together different than anything else.
If you have staining, you will love the result. No harsh bleaching agents to harm your enamel, but especially if you combine it with an electric toothbrush - it will remove the staining wonderfully. I actually had a friend (one who knows I smoke and drink plenty of coffee) how I kept my teeth so white. Gotta love that!

Muslin cloth and a sprig of mint in a blender?

OK. Let me explain my title. This toothpaste does taste like you just threw in some muslin cloth and a few sprigs of mint into a blender and blended it up. For me, it tasted like eating an ear candle-but it wasn't terribly bad. Just an "interesting" taste & texture. I remember paying closer to $8.00 or somewhere around that price but I see the price is now cheaper. What appealed to me was the no fluoride, no silica or other harsh abrasives. It is mildly abrasive but I don't feel like it's eroding my gum line. It is true, however, that little "plant fibers" may get stuck in your teeth and perhaps a quick floss may be necessary & I'd also throw in a quick gargle of mouth wash as you won't come away with an invigorating cool taste-like you can blow icicles out of your mouth-nope. You won't have a "certs" encounter with this toothpaste. But would I buy it again? You bet! I supplement this toothpaste with another brand that I buy at Trader Joe's (health food store)-alternating back and forth. Perhaps PEELU at night and another more invigorating toothpaste in the morning. Anyway, I like the naturalness & the mildness of it. It is certainly worth a try!
