All Desert Essence toothpastes are excellent. This one with ginger is compatible with homeopathic remedies and perfect for anyone avoiding mint-flavored toothpastes. The package arrived promptly and securely packaged.

We love the ginger taste and feel in this toothpaste. We use two of the Desert Essence toothpastes, and now this one is our favorite.

Pleasantly Interesting Flavor

Normally I use a Kid's toothpaste as minty "adult" pastes burn and dry out my mouth too badly, but recently I had been diagnosed with perio disease, and was looking for a paste with tea tree oil. I chose the ginger because I'd never heard of a ginger flavored toothpaste, and was very curious. And... I like it. It's not a candied ginger, it's more of an earthy, true ginger flavor. It cleans my mouth well, and leaves a slight ginger aftertaste for an hour or so after brushing. I do wish there was a flouridated option, but no biggie... I just rinse with a kid's mouthwash. After being diagnosed with perio disease, I went from brushing and occasionally flossing to:
Morning: Waterflosser with plain water Ginger toothpaste with ultra soft bristled brush Kid's mouthwash
Night: Waterflosser with diluted peroxide Waterflosser with plain water (peroxide is GREAT for perio disease, but you have to rinse very well as it can weaken enamel) Kid's toothpaste with sonicare Therabreath
6 weeks after my deep clean and new routine, I'm happy to say that my 9mm pocket has gone down to 6mm (and my hygienist is confident it will go down further), and everything else is 4mm or lower. I even had quite a few 3mm's on my front teeth go down to 2mm! Overall, I am very happy with this toothpaste (I even gave a tube to my aunt who loves it) and will be purchasing again when I run out. Desert Essence, if you ever make a lavander flavor, I will buy a whole case!!

Dont like the ginger taste, recommend peppermint

I don't like the ginger taste :( I previously purchased the original peppermint i think and that one was perfect. If you like the ginger taste then this could work for you but next time i will purchase peppermint. However, I will say this toothpaste is really good quality and the tea tree oil in it is like magic because it makes toothaches disappear instantly. I've also had no problems with cavities or anything while using this for the last year. My only complaint is that you will need some other method of whitening if you are used to whitening toothpaste as I was. I recommend swishing for few minutes with coconut oil to whiten, it works really well!
