I was surprised at all the reviewers who love the flavor. When I took the cap off, I smelled the peppermint and was excited to try it thinking it would taste fresh and leave my mouth all tingly. Turns out, there is no peppermint flavor. It has an overwhelming soapy taste and I couldn't wait to get it out of my mouth. That said, my mouth did feel clean and non-slimy and it did not cause the skin inside my mouth to peel. So there's that.
I checked the tube and box for an expiration date thinking maybe I got ahold of an old product but can't find an exp anywhere.

My son has VERY sensitive skin and dermatitis. This is caused by fluoride and SLS. I am SO grateful as a Mom to have this toothpaste option. Thank you Jason for making this toothpaste and helping so many who suffer from peri oral dermatitis. My son has been using this for years, he is 13 and has never had a cavity and his teeth are white and healthy even with braces! Makes you wonder if we really need all those chemicals in toothpaste. Great product! 5 stars and my son loves it, we all use it now!

sensitive to SLS? sodium cocoyl glutamate which is in this paste causes the same problems

Apparently for some of us sensitive to SLS, sodium cocoyl glutamate which is in this paste causes the same problems with sluffing off of gums. So don't buy it. Also very strong - way too strong taste.

I was looking for a toothpaste without fluoride that had a pleasant taste. Jason's totally met my expectations. The paste foams up nicely and leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. Would highly recommend
