Funny texture, does the job though

Good value. I like that I don't have to worry about my toddler swallowing it, since it doesn't have fluoride. I still have him take a fluoride vitamin, though. Anyway, the product meets our needs. I think the texture is weird and runny though. :P I prefer Colgate's baby training toothpaste, but this actually costs less.

I like the fact that it is fluoride free but it's kind of thick, sticky and goopy. My son has a hard time with opening the caps so he just takes them off. I buy it for him because he can't stand anything minty so this works ok for him. Wish it had a better texture.

Not safe for toddlers

This toothpaste is not safe for toddlers. I just assumed it was safe for my toddler to swallow because it said fluoride free. I was shocked when I read the ingredients. It contains sodium lauryl sulfate (among other bad Ingredients)!!! Shame on Toms for marketing this as "natural" for kids. Let's just say I wouldn't let my toddler swallow the main ingredient in laundry detergent. Very disappointed

I love this, but can't find the fluoride free version ...

This is the only toothpaste I use with my toddlers. They have not grasped the spitting it all out concept and eat whatever is on the brush during the process. We have the mint one but I only give them a tiny bit of that every few days to freshen their breath more. I love this, but can't find the fluoride free version in any stores. My kids love it too.

Underfilled or Bigger Tube?
|
By Queen Boudica on September 20, 2015

My 6 year old loves brushing his teeth with this. No more fighting for him to brush longer than 10 seconds before spitting his toothpaste out. I appreciate the fact it is fluoride free (as we've been getting our household switched to a chlorine and fluoride free zone), and the kiddo doesn't gag on the mint flavor, as it's not overwhelming.
MY ISSUE: Can someone explain to me why I had to squeeze the tube to below the TOMS name before toothpaste came out? That is the top 3rd of the tube! Either the tube wasn't filled correctly, so we were shortchanged, or the manufacturer is using a bigger tube, which is ALSO a waste.
I wish I had weighed the tube but I'm not sure if that would have helped or not.

No fluoride, tastes great!

I purchased this for my 10-month-old daughter. It's a similar flavor to the Orajel, and less expensive. She loves the strawberry flavor and willingly opens her mouth to let me brush, and chews as hard as she can on the brush to get all the flavor out. Great training toothpaste that she can safely swallow!
