5.0 out of 5 stars  A salty sweet success
By Door (Minneapolis, MN USA) on March 11, 2013
Anyone who has swished with a salt water rinse knows that it leaves your breath neutral and lends a clean mouthfeel. Salt water rinses work by alkalinizing the mouth, which reduces bacteria populations. They also have anti-inflammatory properties and can ease swelling and pain.

This product uses nice trustworthy ingredients and has a lovely citrus flavor that compliments the salt. It reminds me of a sweet grapefruit or tangerine. If you've never lightly salted a wedge of fruit, you'll have to trust me that this combination is pleasant and not weird.

I'm not a fanatical swisher, but I like to have a rinse on hand at work, so that I can flush the excess sugars out of my mouth after drinking a fruit-heavy smoothie. This stuff is great because I can make the concentration as light or intense as I prefer. Obviously more salt = less bacteria, but you don't want to be hard on your teeth enamel with excess use of any cleaning system.

It's perfect for people who find themselves deterred from doing a rinse because of the steps involved in mixing up a homemade solution as well as people who rinse so infrequently that it seems silly to mix up a whole jarful. It doesn't take up much shelf space and lasts a long time.
