Very Good Whitening With A Few Caveats

This is a serious product. There is special quality dental strength peroxide in this version of Rembrant toothpaste. The peroxide apparently causes a bit of pressure inside the tube so on first opening it be ready for some product to possibly come out even without a squeeze. One way around this is the rotate the tube a couple of time while in the box in an attempt to re-mix the ingredients (you may even forcefully faux throw one end rotate and then the other end a couple of times to use some elbow grease to blend the ingredients. The good news is that after the first opening the inner pressure build-up thing is over. So on to the product itself. Regular Rembrant (no. 1) will actually whiten even stubborn stains somewhat over a period of months of twice daily use. So regular Rembrant works and doesn’t seem to have any downsides. This is kind of like another kind of Rembrant on steroids if you will. The whitening doesn’t take months to begin to show as just a week in there is no doubt whitening. The taste is fine in spite of peroxide I’m glad to say since I hate gargling with diluted peroxide due to the metallic taste. The feeling you get from brushing with this toothpaste is like “wow, this stuff makes my teeth feel seriously clean”. The only downside after the initial pressure of the tube when first opened might possibly be if the long-term use of strong peroxide turns the corner from simply superior stain-removal to destructive qualities regarding enamel, hyper-sensitivity, or other downsides? I don’t know so this is a guarded recommendation: this stuff works but it is uniquely strong and possibly might not be the best long-term everyday toothpaste. In the short run I know I love it. I'm giving it 4-stars due to spillage when opening, expensive price, and possibly being too-strong for continuous daily use.

Expensive toothpaste that claims to Whiten Teeth due to Peroxide.

Back in the day Rembrandt tooth paste used to be THE tooth paste to buy. It was expensive then, it still is expensive now with a relatively high price tag and smaller tube.
My Mom used to patronize this and therefore me, too. I've moved on to Colgate that I purchase from outside North America as they have various offerings not found here - like Colgate with Charcoal or Colgate with Sugar Acid Neutralizer. Both of which are my favourite.
Having the chance to try this Rembrandt brings me back to the past. The taste is the same as well the leading ingredient - peroxide. I would ensure to use just a right amount as the sensation in the mouth is intense. Too much and brushing would be an unpleasant experience. There is also weird side effect on both taste and sensation that I'm not fond of. I feel a bit dizzy from using it. I don't know if it's the blast of oxygen or the taste of the tooth paste itself.
I will continue to use this and update my review to see if there are any whitening effects.

I swear, this toothpaste makes you feel like you just left the dentist! The package says that it is not a completely filled container because of air in the product-which is evident as I opened it for the first time and the toothpaste oozed out all over the tube (about 3-4 toothbrushes full). I scraped up all the toothpaste and put it in my mouth to brush...I don't recommend using that amount of toothpaste as it burned and felt as though the enamel was melting off my teeth! That being said, if you use a regular toothbrush amount-this works super and it doesn't make your entire mouth burn!! The toothpaste is actually pretty good, it is slightly bubbly (peroxide) and feels as though it is truly deep cleaning your teeth and gums. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and do not notice a whiter smile, but I feel pretty confident that it will because of how well the paste works to clean my teeth. My son is now using this too and loves it. I can honestly say, I am not going back to my other toothpaste.

Not your cheap toothpaste: MUCH BETTER and here's why...

Rembandt might open on its first opening with a squeezing out of foamy toothpaste. That's the dental-strength peroxide in it; less dense and after use, leaves a slickness to my teeth. THAT'S the fluoride in it. Top shelf quality and tastes STRONG with mint to sort of mask the peroxide, I guess, but does two things better than cheapy toothpaste: protect surfaces and really cleans. IMHO, worth every penny just in doing what you might pay for during a visit: cleans better and adds fluoride to make teeth stronger.
MY teeth look and FEEL good. At 63 years old, I'm way, way ahead of many seniors. Our dentist gave us Rembrandt years ago with a cleaning; many thanks!
