pick your animal wisely!, June 24, 2014

We actually got two wubbanub's as gifts and ended up purchasing another because they are so great! All wubbanub animals aren't equal. The turtle is great for when your little one is lying/sitting fairly still since it can lay flat on their chest. We also have an elephant and a giraffe. We have the elephant in the crib since you can make it 'stand' for when she lies onber side, makeing it the perfect height (upside down worked best when very small). The giraffe as you would imagine has a long skinny neck so it flops around more. Great for when they can wrap their arms or hands around it to hold it in, but bad when they move their head alot as it tends to get flung or stuck under their head.

I love these little guys for my kids, April 20, 2013

I have one for my daughter and this one for my son. It has saved me so much time on my hands and knees searching for the pacis that get dropped or tossed from the crib. My only complaint with this specific one is that there is a hole where the tag is so I either need to sew it up or see if they can replace/exchange it. Otherwise, awesome product.
***Update, I contacted the seller to request an exchange due to the hole that has become substantially larger over the past weeks and they refused. I find it a bad business model to not honor your products. Amazon, however, has responded and as always offers incredible customer service. I would advise not to buy from the seller BabyHaven.

great product after "surgery", March 11, 2011

So, when i saw this product i loved it! but i knew that my 3 month old baby would hate the pacifier part. the only paci she ever takes is the NAM kind because they have bigger bulbs at the end for her to suck on. Also, other pacifiers are shaped too similarly to her milk bottles and she gets mad that milk doesn't come out of them. I also wasn't thrilled that you had to wash the paci with the toy. So being a crafty mom, i knew i could fix this so she would like it. I got it in the mail yesterday and as i predicted she just spit it out. so i took my seam ripper and got the pacifier off easily without hurting the toy. then i took one of the holders for the nam which come apart and there is a hole at the end where the tie for the clip goes through - it was the perfect size for the hole i had made. a few stitches and viola! popped the pacifier in the holder (i also like that it can spin around in the holder) and we were good to go. she had been crying for about 15 mins, i put it in her mouth, showed her how she could grab on to it and she was sleeping within minutes. she has fallen asleep with it 4 times since then. so, like i said - i loved the idea of this product but had to make it "work" for me. just an idea for some of you other crafty moms (or dads) out there ;)

Harder than others, January 05, 2011

We have 3 Wubbanubs for our daughter. This one, while cute, seems to be harder for her to keep in her mouth or put back in when it falls out, probably since the Soothie is attached to her hand rather than her head. We have a Duck Wubbanub and the Soothie is attached to the beak and this, along with her caterpillar which has the soothie off the head, seems to make a difference.
****UPDATE 3/9/11 - Now that my daughter is 5 months, she seems to prefer her dolly wubbanub over the others now. She seems to like the differences in the fabrics and the different surfaces she can chew on. I would recommend this for an older 4-6 month old baby as opposed to a younger baby.

What would I do without these!?, December 30, 2010

As first time parents, we were not aware of the wonders of "the pacifier". After getting the soothie brand at the hospital, we decided to stick with those. Unfortunately though, the pacifier would constantly fall out of our baby's mouth, and as a new parent, there are a lot of things that one needs to do without sitting there replacing the pacifier every two minutes. Here is where the Wubbanub comes in...Since the doll holds the pacifier and it rests on the baby's chest, there is no more need to keep on putting the pacifier in the baby's mouth. The only con is that the pacifier cannot be removed from the doll, so it makes it difficult to get it as clean as I would like, but besides that, we love it and bought a few different kinds!
Update: We bought the princess and the doggy wubbanub. By far, we like the princess one more. Our daughter LOVES to now hold onto the silky part of the princess's dress. Also, it stays on her chest much better than the doggy one. The doggy one tends to slide off and then the pacifier falls out of her mouth. Just an FYI!
Update 2: Baby #2 has come, so we have bought more Wubs, as we fondly call them. This go around we used the princess (which we love), the yellow duck and the red dog. The red dog is like the previously mentioned one where it slides off her chest, but the yellow duck stays put. Plus, baby loves the bright yellow color.

Could NOT live without it, October 19, 2010

(I am updating my initial review that said we could live without this product...we CANNOT live without!)
PROS: -Cute -Easy to find the pacifier with such a big thing attached to it -Good pattern for the baby to look at -Will hold it propped in her mouth if she's REALLY REALLY tired -Easy to grab, so at night she can find it in her crib and pop it back in her mouth!
CONS: --> Only reason I'm giving this 4 stars: Paci doesn't detach so the animal AND the pacifier have to go into the washer -Easy for baby to grab and she pulls it out of her mouth ALL THE TIME
I would buy this again and am tempted to buy a second one just in case we lose this one!!
