Fine if you dont mind spending $100 a year on a tooth brush.

The toothbrush was great while it lasted.... Unfortunately that was for only a year and a half. When placed on the charger some of the lights now only light up half way. When trying to turn the unit on, it simply makes a single quick vibrate and stops. We tried customer service which was awful. My wife called to ask what could be done to either fix or diagnose the issue to which they could only recommend we buy another one. Real helpful philips, why would I buy another one when this one lasted less time than a cell phone contract???

My handle unit quit working within two years and a couple of months. Phillips "customer service" was as good as nonexistent on how to help ... there was a very distinct pattern of buzzing when the unit was placed on the charger, 2 short followed by 1 long buzz. The representative @ Phillips never would answer my question to what that 2 short ,1 long buzz meant. It seems that anything that distinct was built into the unit as a diagnostic code, which should pinpoint the problem. Phillips first said, tough luck just buy another unit. I balked. I told the rep 50% discount seemed fair since the warranty was expired yet this was a malfunction (not abuse). They offered a 15% discount, which was more insulting than anything else. A $130 toothbrush should last a lot longer than 24 (ish) months. I'm changing to another brand.... all 5 in my family. That's $650.00 Phillips will NOT get from me simply because they wouldn't give $65 credit on a product that obviously had some defect. I hope this review helps someone else save their $100+ to use purchasing a product from some company other than Phillips that will stand behind it.

I've given up on Sonicare. They are super expensive and they don't last very long. Typically, they stop working after about 3 years.

I bought this in Oct 2013 and it just died Sept 2013. Considering the use it gets, I can't really complain. The best thing is it has a 3 year warranty with Phillips and it died before that warranty expired. How often does that happen!
Phillips is GREAT. They sent a new one out right away. I had it in less than a week and they didn't charge me for shipping.
Now, about the performance... This was worth the investment. I love the quad timer. It takes the guesswork out of giving each zone the right amount of time. I also like the multimodes available. I mostly used clean and refresh. When they say it delivers a better clean than a standard toothbrush, it is no lie. After a month of use, I could definitely see the difference. I know it really worked because at my first cleaning appointment after I started using it, there was a lot less scaling and a lot more polishing. My hygienist commented on my healthy gums and said keep up the good work!
I also like the handle design. It makes it easier to grip and eliminates slipping while brushing. I never realized this until recently. When my original died, I figured I would have to wait a long time for the replacement. So I purchased a basic Sonicare to fill in the gap. While it still cleans great, I miss the extra features. I also noticed the difference in the handles right away. My basic model is slippery compared to the Flexcare Plus model.
Overall, it was a great purchase an well worth the money paid.

We ordered two of these brushes. What we received in the mail does not look like what was in the picture. I'm currently trying to figure out how to return them.
