Fine if you dont mind spending $100 a year on a tooth brush.

The toothbrush was great while it lasted.... Unfortunately that was for only a year and a half. When placed on the charger some of the lights now only light up half way. When trying to turn the unit on, it simply makes a single quick vibrate and stops. We tried customer service which was awful. My wife called to ask what could be done to either fix or diagnose the issue to which they could only recommend we buy another one. Real helpful philips, why would I buy another one when this one lasted less time than a cell phone contract???

My handle unit quit working within two years and a couple of months. Phillips "customer service" was as good as nonexistent on how to help ... there was a very distinct pattern of buzzing when the unit was placed on the charger, 2 short followed by 1 long buzz. The representative @ Phillips never would answer my question to what that 2 short ,1 long buzz meant. It seems that anything that distinct was built into the unit as a diagnostic code, which should pinpoint the problem. Phillips first said, tough luck just buy another unit. I balked. I told the rep 50% discount seemed fair since the warranty was expired yet this was a malfunction (not abuse). They offered a 15% discount, which was more insulting than anything else. A $130 toothbrush should last a lot longer than 24 (ish) months. I'm changing to another brand.... all 5 in my family. That's $650.00 Phillips will NOT get from me simply because they wouldn't give $65 credit on a product that obviously had some defect. I hope this review helps someone else save their $100+ to use purchasing a product from some company other than Phillips that will stand behind it.

I've given up on Sonicare. They are super expensive and they don't last very long. Typically, they stop working after about 3 years.

disappointed with this product, we have been using Sonicare for over 10 years and it seems that each time we have to replace this toothbrush the new version lasts less than the previous one. After 3 months of use the original purchased toothbrush died an abrupt death. Contacted Philips and they replaced with the caveat that the warranty would remain from the original purchase date not the replacement date. Well now 10 months from replacement date and 13 months from original purchase the tooth brush is dead again.

My hygienist recommend this product after noticing that the staining on my teeth was worse than usual on my last visit. She commented that it may be time to replace my old electric toothbrush and recommended the Sonicare. I've been using it for about a month now & am thrilled. My teeth feel much cleaner & the staining between teeth is reduced by about 90%! Great product.
