1.0 out of 5 stars.  Complete waste of money, May 08, 2015
By k
Complete waste of money. Adult, engineer with braces who thought this would be great. Bought directly from the manufacturer to avoid this apparently old product. You get very little stuff. It is wrapped in saran wrap like this came from someone's garage side business. Lots of warnings about mixing. I followed directions exactly. Repeatedly and failed miserably. It starts out to squishy to create a round log to push onto your braces and then as you try to do this it falls apart. As you try to recover it then starts to setup and you can't push it on. I found this product a complete waste of both my time and money. Stay away unless you have time to spare and several boxes of this stuff to practice getting it in place.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Better than having broken wax in the braces, January 22, 2015
By R. Alamo
Kid loves it. Easy to form, just follow the instructions it's not rocket science or brain surgery. My kid says it's way better than using the wax on the braces which end up breaking up in his mouth and getting caught in the braces, he hated that. But of course with our without this, if you have braces, you have to adjust your embouchure which he's been lazy about.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  works with some effort but easily ruined., January 06, 2015

It works fine if done properly - with some practice. As other reviewer mentioned, you need to use a lot less hardener (the white stuff) than instructed, or it'll leave you little time to work. Also, they could have easily improved the packaging by separating the red epoxy into smaller packages - I lost almost half of each packages for no apparent reason (yes I was careful to separate the two, but sometimes just touching the red seems to harden it and make it useless). Also, the thing is overpriced whichever way you look at it. However, I haven't got a better solution yet.. so stuck for the time being.

The putty is very hard to shape and work. We ended up ordering another product. But plain wax from the dentist is working great!.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Thanks but no thanks, August 18, 2014
By gilles laperriere
As an intermediate trumpet player, the kit was not really helpful; it stucked in my braces wires and pulled a few elastic apart. Maybe I put too much of it so it really felt ackward and impended on my playing ability (which is not so great too be able to cope with any distractor...) I resorted on parafin graciously furnished by my dentist to solve the problem.
