5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Battery, June 14, 2015
By Embedded Guru
Pentax Battery's are overpriced but great cell's. Chinese batteries last about 6 months. Try and get a battery with Japanese cells!
Really good for a warehouse deal looks at the most that someone sent it back as the wrong one.

II had purchased the generic battery in the past and it worked fine for a while but it no longer holds a charge but my original Pentax battery is still going strong. Having a second Pentax battery will be a big plus when working in the field away from a charging station. Very pleased with new addition to my equipment.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Comparing Pentax with a generic one, August 17, 2011
By Skyhawk
When I purchased my Pentax camera I also ordered the Pentax battery and a lower priced generic battery (do not recall the brand). Both worked fine. Within 3 years the generic one would no longer hold a charge and Pentax one still holds a like-new charge two years later. I desire reliability and I have replaced the generic one with another Pentax battery. The downside of the Pentax battery, the cost is too high. SH
