Sturdy enough. Easily focused.

So far satisfied. I have put these on and tried them, but has not used them much. Sturdy enough. Easily adjusted. Easily focused. It comes with a nice case. I am a family physician. I bought this in order to look into the external ear canal to remove ear wax. Of course I need other equipment (e.g. a speculum) to "open" the exterior part of the canal to do this. But I must say it is quite easy to move my head around with the binocular on to get into focus on the external ear canal. I think these can be used with satisfaction to look at small parts of electronic stuffs. It is a worthwhile buy.

I'm so NOT disappointed. I see my patients teeth at incredible clarity

I'm a dental hygienist, and I tried this product because of the value. Once you get it adjusted, and it takes a day, it is an incredible value. The lamp is a bit hot, it's not led. Still, I'm so NOT disappointed. I see my patients teeth at incredible clarity. Worth the money. Be ready to play with the ocular adjustable settings, but I can't believe what I got for the money!

Great product for the price for detailed work for crafters.

For the price, these are not too bad. I am not a dental student, nor do I work in the dental industry. I bought these to use while crafting for bead work. I felt the 3.5x magnification level was too strong for me but still very usable. The working distance of these loupes is about 12" (which means that the object you are looking at will only be "in focus" if it is 12" away from your loupes. The area of sight while looking through the loupes is only about 4" wide (which would be perfect for detailed work but not very effective if you are looking at something that is larger than 4" wide). So if you are doing very detailed work with jewelery or machine quilting or perhaps cross stitching/embroidery, these will help save your back and eyesight. They were not too heavy, the nose bridge was very comfortable, the quality of the lenses were very good, the plastic lenses arrived with a plastic protective cover (completely free of any scratches) and it was carefully packaged in a box with a foam insert. I first found out about "dental loupes" at a quilt show where another provider was selling them in the $500 range. I wanted to "test" out the concept with a very low cost pair first to see if this would be something that would work for me, so for that purpose these were perfect. I felt in the end that I was happy I didn't invest in the $500 pair because there are really only good for extremely detailed work, which I don't do that much of. I was hoping that the area that you could see through the loupes would have been much larger. But I'm happy to own these when I do the occasional detailed work with jewelry making.

Don't forget it's fixed-focus

I've used these a few times, now, and they do the job for giving a nice view. One thing I didn't expect, but should have, was that these are naturally fixed-focus. That is, you must keep your head pretty far back from what you're examining. If you try to move in or out your item will go out of focus. Not really a problem, but something to keep in mind for all similar magnifiers.

Unsatisfactory

These are heavier than described and since they clip onto glasses, they drag the glasses down. There is a knob to adjust the loupes to fit the distance between both eyes. But it doesn't remain steady. I don't find this product satisfactory at all. I'm requesting a return/refund.
