My Rota-dent was recommended by my Dentist back in 1997 and its still going. I had put it away in 2004 when I moved and stored it and forgot about it. As I was organization I discovered the Rota-dent was put away very clean, battery works....all that is necessary is 2 regular cleaning. But sorry to say, I already have another unit Phillips Sonicare. So I'm glad I can still purchase heads of Rota-dent and use a spare.

I have been using a Rotadent for almost 20 years - I'm on my second one. It does a wonderful job of cleaning my teeth and under my bridge. I highly recommend this one.

I am super pleased with this toothbrush. After the battery was dead I did some tinkering on it. I removed the battery and adapted a detachable connector to a special adapter. I opted for removing the battery altogether instead of replacing it since batteries don't last long. I have fixed several of these (only the classic models different colors) and they have lasted for years. Before I succeeded with the fixes/alterations, I unintentionally ruined a few of these expensive toothbrushes while experimenting on them, but it was worth it. They are not easy to fix for those of you who may want to attempt the alterations. love1st hotmail.

 Skeptical At First

I purchased my Rotadent a couple of years ago after the constant urging of my dental hygienist. Considering the price I was quite hesitant. My teeth are spaced tightly and I had periodontal disease. Spent one entire summer going back and forth between my periodontist and my regular dentist, trying to save my molars. I had a lot deep pockets (as the dentist calls it) in those areas, and some bone loss. Since using my Rotadent, I no longer have any bleeding during my cleanings, very little plaque build up and those pocket areas have improved. I'm on the every 3 month dental cleaning program, due to my history of periodontal disease and at 52 I want to keep my own teeth as long as I can. I was very skeptical that an electric toothbrush could make this much difference, so I am very pleased with the results. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost of replacement brush heads. I have looked everywhere for the best price, but they all seem to cost around $10 each, so I keep mine as long as possible.
