 Tack sharp macro for under $1K :O, November 28, 2015

Holy crap, what an amazing lens!
I'm pretty sure every f-stop this thing shoots at is tack sharp. It goes fantastically with my Canon 5D Mark III.
The only issues I have with it are the focus speed and build. For being a USM-motored lens, it can be rather sluggish. It'll often defocus entirely, then refocus. It seems to be this way though on the full focus setting. If you use the switch to narrow the focus down, it's not quite as bad.
As far as build goes, it's a plastic barrel with a metal mount. It's great for the metal mount, but the plastic barrel is a bit concerning. At one point, I even heard the inner lens component shaking around a little bit (apparently this is fine, though). It would've been nice to see the lens barrel made of metal, but for this price point in the L-series lineup it makes a little more sense.
Oh yeah, have I mentioned the price? You get one helluva sharp lens for under $1K!
