TV and AV mode work just like they would when the lenses are normally attached to ..., April 24, 2015

Had a similar tube that did not have the contacts. Got this one and now the lenses act is if they are attached without the tube in place. AF does work but a pain for macro shots as what is being photographed can move on you. The AF points do work as well. Using the Canon 60D with two EFS Lenses (28 to 135 and 70 to 300) and 1 EF lens (18 to 55) It allows control of Aperture and the image stabilizer works. In photo edit software you can look at the EXIF to see the lens that was attached as well as how it was setup during the shot. So you get full communication with the lens without any limitations. Manual, TV and AV mode work just like they would when the lenses are normally attached to the camera. Mainly have been using the 70 to 300 lens with it so I don't have to get to close, physically, to some of the thing I photograph. with sunlight (cloudy or bright) you do not really need to use a flash either. The edges of the images are also in focus.
One slight issue though, not much to worry about, there is slight play when adjusting zoom for focus. The play is where the tubes connect to the camera body. Only noticeable when change zoom to the opposite direction. Would say about half a mm worth of play. I'm sure the contacts stay in contact enough to not cause any damage to the cameras contacts. The rings fit snug together as well as the mount where the lens attaches.
Uploaded 3 pics takes through this tube on a canon 60D and the ultrasonic 70 to 300 lens.

These are great. I still sometimes have to go to manual focus to get the shot I want, but having the ability to autofocus speeds up my macro quite a bit.
