Great Macro and Portrait lens! So far, I have mostly used this lens for environmental portraits and some macro work. It does great for portraits mainly because of the bokeh it creates in the background that brings a softness to the photo. It does well for macro because of its extreme sharpness. I would also give its ease of use a 10+! I use a full frame Nikon and since my camera has a built in motor, this lense will focus automatically. Although for most macro, you will want to manually focus it...Which I prefer in most cases anyways. So far the only negative I can say is that sometimes it does take a few seconds for it to focus, that's not a big deal for me because I manually focus it most of the times.

Great FX macro lens that works flawlessly on my nikon D5100 (DX) camera. The only problem is that it has a relatively short working distance when shooting at a magnification of 1:1.
