Poorly made and ineffective

Batteries were not included as indicated on the package, (See review by rodneymc). Very poorly made and ineffective. The battery compartment would not cleanly accept two, AA batteries. When I inserted batteries (mine), I could not fit the lid on battery compartment and the batteries bound/stuck and were difficult to remove. But, most importantly, I could not detect any cleaning action from this unit on a nightguard that I was trying to clean. I am skeptical there was any ultrasonic energy being added - it seemed more like just vibration. I've since purchased a Magnasonic unit (Magnasonic MGUC500 Professional Ultrasonic) and there was real cleaning taking place with the same object to be cleaned. Also, the surface of the water and the sound was much different and closer to what I've seen and expect in an ultrasonic unit.

Seems to help get some of the hard to reach residue off of my retainer. I've been using it for about a month and the batteries are already wearing out.

My dentist recommended this instead of any of the more expensive options out there. Works just fine for my invisalign - at least so far. I've had it for about 3 months and so far so good.
