Work Awesome, November 02, 2015

I've been using the M214C headsets for years. I'm very rough on them and work in a shop environment. They are inexpensive to replace, hold up as well as any that we've purchased, and keep one or two on hand. I would recommend them as long as you know that buying 2 and keeping an extra around for when they go out is recommended. These are priced where you can easily buy two for the cost of 1 of another "premium" headsets.

Works, okay, but not great, August 15, 2015

My complaint is that the sound amplification is not quite enough to make everything easily heard. Granted, I am a bit hard of hearing, which is why I ordered the device in the first place, but the maximum available volume does not go high enough to really be easy for me to use. It's maybe 10% lower than would be good for me. The device replaces a Panasonic that had excellent sound quality and volume, but the headpiece ratchet was too flimsy and eventually broke. I tried a different one, and got a different problem. Still have not gotten a perfect product.

It does it's intended job, July 30, 2015

Maybe I'm kinda deaf in one ear but most of the times I have to press the earphone to my ear to hear the other person on the line. It is pretty annoying!! What I do like is that is lightweight and comfortable. Nothing amazing about it but if you're looking for a sturdy headset this is not it. It wouldn't survive if I mistakenly sit on it without noticing. It does the job, but it could be better.

My first pair broke and my second will be my last., July 28, 2015

My second pair. My first snapped where one piece fits into the other to expand the size of the headset. In hindsight it is pretty easy to do and a design flaw. The mute works well and there is also a mic volume switch, which is a great option to ensure you aren't blasting out your callers. The 2.5mm plug fits my home phone but an adapter is required for my iphone's 3.5mm plug. The downside to that is that every connection you make ultimately reduces the quality of your head set. My best client was complaining about call quality with the second so I bought another brand with a 3.5mm plug. To be fair, I tested it with my home phone and didn't notice any issues. However, the three star review is essentially because the first pair broke so easily. I just taped the connection at its smallest size on the new pair with electrical tape. Unfortunately there just doesn't seem to be a good quality headset with a single 3.5mm (1/8) plug with a cord. Bluetooth sets are a pain because they all have some sort of multi-function button...which to me means that you never know what the darn head set is going to do when you press the button...which is not good for business!

Mine malfunctioned and had low volume too., July 28, 2015

Neither the mute button nor the volume control worked. I am using it on a brand new Samsung phone, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Volume was also very poor, even when turned up all the way, it was only half as loud as the phone without the headset plugged in. Don't buy it if you are hard of hearing!!

Ok...does the trick, July 22, 2015

I am a work from home agent for a virtual call center and need a headset in order to perform my job. I saw this product and the price and ordered it right away. I received the product quickly.
This headset is not fancy but did the trick for the short time I had it. It has volume control as well as mute and an adjustable mouthpiece that I could move to provide myself as much comfort as possible. The sound was clear and people heard me clearly as well. Unfortunately this headset did break after a few months use. Not the sellers fault, just not a well made product. I did have to replace it with a new Plantronics headset.
I would recommend this for a casual headset user not for someone like me who uses it daily for hours for work.
