Avoid this shredder, October 21, 2015

Terrible shredder, avoid it at all costs. It claims to be able to shred up to 9 pages at one time, but anything more than 3 and the pages start wrinkling, tripping the sensor and stopping the machine. The operator has to reverse the motor, clear the jam, then shred the remainder. If you don't mind sitting there and shredding 2 pages at a time, it's great. But otherwise I think it it's overpriced and very poorly designed.

The Fellowes Powershred 59Cb Eleminates Clutter!, December 11, 2013

The Fellowes Powershred 59Cb Shredder arrived promptly and well packaged.
After removing it from the box and lubricating with Fellowes performance oil from Amazon it went to work munching clutter. It reduces various size documents into tiny strips without hesitation.
In our view nine sheets is overly optimistic. We found three to five sheets work well without complaints or a paper jam. Like most shredders the receptacle can be messy if overfilled. Save yourself a cleanup job watch the clear window in the front.
The machine is wider in the front. However, it still fits neatly under a desk. Of course it is slid out for shredding or emptying the receptacle.

Fellowes Powershred 59Cb Shredder, November 15, 2013

Information states that it will shred 11 sheets of normal paper. That statement is totally misleading because it struggles to shred 4 sheets. Makes so much noise that I have to close my office door so I do not disturb other people. Unacceptable product for an esteemed company like Amazon to be selling.

Fellows Powershread okay but nothing great, September 26, 2013

I like the fact that it has a side basket and you don't have to lift the top of the shredder to empty the basket. That design is a major plus. It is okay at shredding. It only takes in very thin envelopes. You try to stick a credit card offer in there, forget it. You need to open the envelope and just shred the offer. For $100, I didn't expect a power house, but did expect a little bit more power than it provides.

great home shredder, September 09, 2013

This is a great shredder for a one person use. it does not shred much at a time but it does a good job. i use it to shred unwanted mail. be sure to get the shredder oil to keep it lubricated. JUST AN FYI. If you are a prime member order the oil separately,. It is a hazardous material and needs to go ground. So you will not receive your order in two days. Learned that the hard way.
