Returned this item. It didn't work at all. Apparently since I couldn't reorder a new one as instructed by v-tech customer service, Amazon is aware there is a problem with them. I ended up buying a whole new VTech - DS6671-3 Connect to Cell DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering System, just to replace the broken headset.

Volume problems when tapped, January 16, 2016

Returning my second one now and for good. The volume goes up and down when tapped, shaken on head, any slight movement to earpiece. It is NOT interference and only happens when earpiece is touched slightly. I have a hard time believing that the second one had the EXACT same problem. I think they repackaged my return and sent it back. Anyhow, not working for me and the other reviews suck anyhow so I'm returning and hoping some other earpiece will be compatible because I need hands free for my disability.

I RARELY write reviews on Amazon. I think this may be my second one in 7 years. But I agree with most people here. Don't buy any VTECH handset phone system that includes this headset. My headset broke just like others have said in less than a few months. It's hard to believe it costs $35 retail. They provided no headset jack as a backup. And as far as I know, no other bluetooth headset will work with the VTECH system. Worst purchase I made in terms of a phone system. It should be pretty simple to make the clip stronger with thicker plastic or make the clip and hinge metal. Problem solved VTech. I'm sure you're wasting man-hours dealing with customer calls and returns on the SAME issue. And mine broke a few years ago. Still not fixed? Bad business move.
