I absolutely love these pants. I am 5'6" and my waist is about a 38 and the small that I bought fit great. The length is perfect for me but they may be a little long for a petite person.

I bought several pairs of the Maeven Blossom stretch pants and tops in different colors, some on Amazon and some in a uniform store. The ones purchased here on Amazon were just as good quality. I got a lot of compliments and someone even randomly came up to me in Target and asked me what were the scrubs I was wearing! A couple of girls in the office bought some after I did. They are comfortable but are on the fitted side, which I like as I think it's more stylish. If you're a little more body shy and prefer looser you may not like it. I'm 5'7 and 168lbs and get told I look thin when I wear them.
