The idea of a dentist theme is great, My kids like playing it, especially after going to check-up. The only drawback is the size of the accessories. They are extremely small and hard to keep track of in the play area.

 Very Helpful Tool To Overcome Fear of Going To The Dentist!, January 20, 2012

My four-year-old daughter has been quite fearful of going to the dentist and we have been trying a number of things to help ease her concerns. This Calico Critters set was a significant tool in helping her to face and overcome her fear and helped to make her first trip to the dentist extremely successful! We gave about half of the pieces to her when we arrived at the dentist's office. We told her that we'd give her the rest at the end of her appointment. She loved it! When she sat up in the dentist chair for her x-rays, she had the little beaver sitting upright in her dentist chair (under the protective apron to keep her safe too). She compared the beaver dentist to her dentist and was excited by the many similarities between them. When the dentist asked her to lie back in her chair my daughter positioned the little beaver so that she was lying down as well. My daughter's appointment went off without any crying and very little protest. It was amazing! And she's been role playing with the complete set all day! This would be a great toy to have at dentist's offices as well! I highly recommend it!

Love this collection. It is so cute and fun. My 4 y.o. daughter adores it. The pieces are SUPER tiny so beware. I have accepted we will most likely lose some of them, but we really love this collection and are having a blast with it.

We have several Calico Critter animals, furniture, and homes. They are great! They might be a bit more expensive, but they last through years of play! All your children, nieces & nephews, grand children, and all of their friends will love to play with them too! They are very popular in our home, and I'd recommend them to everyone!

My daughter had already decided at the age of 5 she wants to be a dentist. This set is perfect for her, lots of very realistic items: chair that adjusts, with light, the dentist in his "scrubs", and ALL of the accessories...these little Critters are adorable.

Every time I let my daughter pick a set of Calico Critters, she surprises me. With all the cute "girly" sets, I never thought she would have picked this out. Boy was I wrong...again. She absolutely loves this set and picked it over all the other sets. Even the larger (more expensive) sets were overlooked for this one. She can't get enough of playing dentist and making sure all her Critters' "teeth" are clean. The beavers are a great animal for this set because they actually have teeth:-) After having it for a few days, it dawned on me that there are not many toys on the market that help kids role play a trip to the dentist. That in itself makes this toy worth getting! My daughter originally had anxiety about going to the dentist, but now she is excited to make the trip! Calico Critters are great quality toys. We would recommend this set!
