 Stopped working properly a week after i bought it

This thing stopped working right less than a week after I bought it. Then I opened the medicine cabinet to get my own toothbrush one night and it was mysteriously flashing on its own. Sometimes this works and sometimes it does not. Really it is not as impressive to me as some of the reviews indicated it might be. It flashes red about 1x every other second for one minute when it works. I'm also not sure how high quality the bristles were because my kid already has them all bent down and frayed and I need to replace it with a new toothbrush.

Very cute toothbrush with fun lightup, which my granddaughter loves. BUT, the quality of the toothbrush bristles was very disappointing as after only three weeks of daily use the bristles look worn out. Other brand kids toothbrushes that I have purchased in the past have lasted much longer.
