Our plan: Use kid-friendly packaging and fruity (not-yucky) flavorings to make the brushing ritual a fun activity for both you and them. As with all of our adult toothpastes, this product does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), artificial flavors, sweeteners or colors. Dentists generally recommend the use of a fluoride toothpaste, to help strengthen teeth and prevent cavities starting at about 2 years old. We recommend that you use it on a child-size toothbrush in small amounts and work with your child to teach them not to swallow excessive amounts.| Ingredient | Source | Purpose | | Sodium fluoride (0.24%) (0.15% w/v fluoride ion) | Fluorite, a calcium fluoride rich ore | Anticavity | | Vegetable glycerin | Rapeseed (canola) oil | Base | | Purified water | Local source | Base | | Sorbitol | Corn | Humectant / thickener | | Hydrated silica | Mineral | Polishing | | Xylitol | Corn | Natural sweetener | | Aloe barbadensis leaf juice | Aloe vera plant | Soothing | | Cocamidopropyl betaine | Coconut oil | Natural surfactant | | Sodium cocoyl glycinate | Coconut or palm oils & corn | Mild emulsifier / surfactant | | Cellulose gum | Corn | Thickener | | Flavor | Essential oils | Natural flavor | | Xanthan gum | Corn | Thickener | | Citrus grandis (grapefruit) seed extract | Plant | Antibacterial* | | Mica | Mineral | Polishing and sparkle | | Stevia rebaudiana extract | Stevia plant | Natural sweetener | | Titanium dioxide | Mineral | Color | | |

We have a family member who breaks out in horrible mouth sores when exposed to SLS, January 25, 2017

We have a family member who breaks out in horrible mouth sores when exposed to SLS. As such, almost every toothpaste at the drugstore and grocery are inappropriate for daily use. In addition, they are not fond of mint flavoring, which comprises every other SLS free toothpaste available in our area. When we found this I was leery to purchase due to the high price, but in this case, it is money well spent. Our dentist is so delighted with how clean their teeth are at cleanings. The dentist asked me to bring in the toothpaste to the office so they can recommend it to other parents. In the end we have a toothpaste that does not cause harm, cleans teeth completely, tastes great and it has the fluoride recommended by our dentist. I wish it were available at a slightly lower price point. How can it cost so much more money to leave out one ingredient?
