The only biodegradable floss. But what I'm concerned more of is fluoride. This is fluoride free. Also nicely thick (catches stuff better) because it's silk. It's a shame that it gives you less than the mint variety which is thinner and NOT silk.
This is not vegan for those who are wondering. Silk worms are involved. If you are only concerned about bigger animals then go ahead.

Strong, Biodegradable, Two Thumbs-Up!

I have been looking for biodegradable floss for a long time, in the attempt to reduce our family's plastic use. Most regular flosses are petro-based nylon, which doesn't break down in the landfill. This Silk Floss was the only one I could find in the USA that was biodegradable.
Some reviews had me nervous that it wouldn't hold up to serious flossing; that it breaks too easily. In the month I've used it, flossing almost every day, I've only had it break twice. Not bad at all and my teeth are very close together, so I have floss shred or break occasionally anyway. This Silk Floss holds up and gets the job done. Once I'm done, I throw it in our compost bin and feel good about myself. :)
Only Complaint: The container it comes in is plastic! RADIUS should package this in a metal tin or a cardboard holder. The point of using this for most people, in my research, is to reduce plastic use. Ideally, they should sell the floss in a reusable metal tin (they do this in Europe) and sell bigger containers of floss refills. With no plastic! Just my opinion...
