5.0 out of 5 stars  Review
By Ryan on September 21, 2015
The floss was easy-to-use...it didn't slip from my fingers as other types have done.

It must not be waxed...Which I'd rather not use anyway.

I'd recommend it to anyone who 's getting frustrated with their current floss.

The only thing that could have been improved upon was the shipping and handling time.

It seems to me it took 3 or 4 days to get out of the warehouse then a good part of a week or so to get here.

This is probably the BEST dental floss because it would not break between my teeth, many other cheap ones would. The bad part is for some reasons anything that was good the company usually stopped making them and this dental is not cheap in the after market but IMHO is worth every single penny of it. It was hard for me to understand why all these dental floss for sales in the States were made overseas and most are not good while those for sales in Canada, many of them are made in U.S.A. and are of better quality. When I go to Canada, I always go to their Walmart and buy dental flosses made in USA there.

4.0 out of 5 stars  is very good. Since it isn't a nylon floss
By Christine Bucher on August 28, 2015
My motivation to floss probably has a lot to do with the floss I have on hand. The old floss was from a discount store and it frayed, got stuck between my teeth and caused a lot of cuts. I ended up using quite a bit more of that floss because of all of the tearing. Reach Total Care floss, on the other hand, is very good. Since it isn't a nylon floss, there is no fraying or breaking and it hasn't gotten stuck between my teeth. It has a nice flavor too. There are a couple of draw backs, however. It's wide, so even though it is super thin, it can double over itself, which can make it uncomfortably thick. I found it a little bit harder to control because it is so springy that it snaps really quickly between your teeth. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it makes flossing go faster, but it can cause some bleeding if you're not a regular flosser. I'm not sure that the ridges do much compared to the fibers in nylon floss. Despite my hatred of my last nylon floss, I did find that it did a good job of scrubbing between my teeth and I don't think that the ridges are really capable of doing the same. Having said all of that, I think this is the best floss that I have ever used. I'd like to try more brands though because I'm not convinced that it is the best on the market.

Worse floss ever if you've tiny gaps in teeth, breaks and frays very easily, barely 'waxed'

A warning: the new version of this floss is certainly not the same as the old Reach stretchy floss and is far inferior to the old product. Johnson and Johnson apparently claims that this is new, Listerine/Cinnamon flavored stuff is a substitute for the old stretch Reach and it is, if by substitute is meant a pretty much totally different product which is still a usable floss, although very prone to shredding.

I'll be very sorry when the last of my old style stretch floss is gone and I have to go to switch to another brand.

4.0 out of 5 stars  Love it
By Marty on August 19, 2015
Don't really care for the Listerine flavor, but the overall product is great. Used to buy the non-flavored variety at Target, but they stopped carrying it. While it does break, I like it because it doesn't get caught in between my teeth like string floss. Because it is not widely available my overall impression is that J&J stopped manufacturing it, and this is all that is left of a secret stash that somebody found in a warehouse. I hope I'm wrong.
