Where is this company's quality control?

When it's working it is fabulous. I ordered mine on-line directly from Waterpik. My first Showerpik stopped working after 3 weeks. Upon contacting the company they replaced it for free. Now 7 months later it stopped working again. One day it worked great, the next day totally dead both times. Will be calling them Monday for yet another replacement.

I want to give this wonderful tool a 5 star overt the top happy review. Have to give it a 4 because there is not two speeds as it says. The difference is so slight, the only difference you feel is the switch moving into the second slot. Also the tubing/hose is a bit short. My teeth and gums are very happy and would of given it 5 stars! You really only need one speed. So great to have no mess!

Stopped working after a couple weeks of use. I thought it was the battery, but after charging it for 2 days it turns out it's not. I ordered a replacement, I'll update this review accordingly.

Underpowered and the battery loses its charge too fast

In addition to the Showerpik, I have the Waterpik model that sits on the counter and plugs into a wall. Compared to the countertop Waterpik, the Showerpik is underpowered and only has two water force settings: a low and a medium. The countertop version 10 force settings.
Worse than it being underpowered, is that the battery takes upwards of 24 hours to charge. The instructions say that with once per day use the battery charge should last up to one week. Both my wife and I have used the Showerpik, so with twice-per-day use the battery is completely drained after two days. In other words, with the battery only lasting two days and needing upwards of 24 hours to charge, the battery is removed from the Showerpik and plugged into wall charger half the time. In addition, the charging light doesn't change from green to another color after it's charged (at least ours never has), so there's really no way of knowing when the battery is fully charged.
The only attribute causing me to give this contraption more than one star is that it's very convenient to use in the shower. If you want a Waterpik, get the countertop model.
---------------
Update: I ended up sending back this Showerpik for a replacement. The pulsating stream started working only intermittently, then stopped working altogether. Maybe I just got a lemon. We'll see if the replacement is any better. If not, I'll be asking for a refund.
