Good sanitizer with a design that fits our needs

I bought two of these, one for each kids bathroom, since they tend to drop their toothbrushes on the floor (or purposely brush things other than their teeth). I ended up using suction cups (that I bought separately) to hang it in their mirror to avoid sticking something permanently to the wall. It worked out great and I have some peace of mind that their toothbrushes aren't carrying a ton of germs. I also like how small it is and I do take it with us when we go to spend a weekend at grandmas. I like this design better than some of the others because it fits the oversized kids toothbrushes (the ones with bigger handles) and they aren't upside down sitting in grossness that ran off the toothbrush from previous uses. This would also hold most electric toothbrushes without taking the heads off, although you might not get 4 of them in there side by side. The downside is this thing takes SIX, that's right six, AA batteries and they don't last all that long. So if you don't want to buy the extra ac adaptor (which I didn't because I don't want another cord in the bathroom) be ready to buy batteries in bulk for this thing.

The glue pad on the back of the product said 3M. Based on this, I THOUGHT it would be strong enough to hang on the wall; the entire reason I purchased it. The next day, my husband informs me that found my toothbrush on the floor. Turns out, the unit had fallen down in the middle of the night. The glue pad isn't strong enough to hang on the wall, but it is strong enough to make it STUPID HARD to move off the counter where it now lays and reposition it. I got this particular model after the Q&A said it would hold an electronic toothbrush. Yes, but I had to put one of them in the razor blade spot because the door would not close with them any closer. It was a beast to get the door to shut and work with 2 electronic toothbrushes, and one thicker one. My son can do it, but I can't. Getting the batteries in took some doing too. 6 AAs. They kept popping out over and over and over and over again. I had to practically force them in. If you can get the unit to stick via the glue pad, I have no idea how you would get it off the wall to replace the batteries. Not without ripping some paint off the wall simultaneously. The UV lights turn on after you close the door. It stays on for a limited amount of time and then shuts off. It's good because I wasn't sure about keeping it on the entire night just burning the batteries out. Bottom line, it did not live up to my expectations. Under other circumstances, I would purchase it again, but not immediately. And those circumstances would have to be specific and unique.
I was NOT paid for this review. I was NOT given a free product for my review. I was NOT compensated in anyway. I do NOT trust reviews that are compensated for their "honest opinions" and I will not buy product that contains such reviews. It's one review you can trust.

I accidentally knocked off it's mounting. It fell about 4 feet down onto marble floors and still works!

easy to put on the wall

Arrived quickly, easy to put on the wall, and looks nice. I purchased it for it being a cover for the toothbrushes and storing them so it does that very well. Only negative is no power adapter included for the uv light (on the bottom it has a inlet for a DC9V). Also runs off 6 AAA but that method they last for like a month. I am pleased that it turns on and off the uv light by opening/closing the cover and automatically shuts off.
Overall it fills all the needs I purchased it for.
