Product Description:

As a practicing Dental Hygienist, I created Going to the Dentist with Major Taylor, to help prepare a child for their first dental cleaning or dental filling experience. The graphics in this book, along with the finger puppet pattern and coloring page, were designed to educate young people on the importance of good daily oral hygiene. R. R. Skeens, RDH

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Not engaging enough for my 3 year old, February 24, 2013
By jenna
My 3 year was not interested at all. I thought it was going to be a bit my engaging for a 3 year old. It may have been to detailed oriented for a toddler and the story should have been a bit more simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Going to the Dentist with Major Taylor, September 13, 2011
By Judy
I just finished reading Going to the Dentist with Major Taylor. It's a great book for children at any age. It's graphics are appealing and informative and I can see why children will benefit from it. I especially like the finger puppet for the children to make. I'm sending a copy to my grandchildren and taking a copy to my dentist for his office.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great read for Parents and children! Loved it!, September 08, 2011
By Shelly Sutter
I loved the chapters and the little activities at the end of each. Great illustrations and goes into great detail so that it informed me as a parent and also my child (who asks a million questions). Also, the illustrations in the book are true to what it looks like in a real dental office. Great preparation for going to the dentist! This is wonderful book, my daughter and I loved it and I give it my highest recommendation!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great children's dental book. A must for all first visits!, September 06, 2011
By BSalstrom
My two year old loves this book! Going to the dentist gives a thorough description of what happens at the dentist from routine checkups to the process when a cavity is found. It describes cause and effect for good oral hygiene that is on a level that kids of all ages can understand and appreciate. As a parent I like that it describes all the different tools used so that there are no surprises when it comes to a dental visit. I highly recommend this book to children who are going for their first dental visit as well as subsequent visits.
This would be a great compliment to any dental waiting room.
