best trail pump ever, September 23, 2005

This pump is great. One guy had one out west on our annual trip and two of came back and bought one. The best part is the flexible tube to connect to your valve stem so you dont bend the stem, especially important with tubless tires. Locks on great, fills quicker than any other pump ive used

A great portable little pump., August 18, 2007

It's small, it pumps a lot of air, it connects and disconnects well, and it's lightweight. What more could you want? A million acres in Montana?

Easy to use, heavy, no gauge., July 14, 2008
By JK (Dairyland)

The foot brace and flexible hose make this pump a snap to use. However, it is heavy for a frame-mounted pump, and is a bit on the large side. Unlike the similarly-priced road version of the Morph, it does not have a built-in pressure gauge, which is a strange omission. It seems well constructed, and it works well.

A very good pump for the price., May 9, 2007

This pump is very handy because of its small size and light weight. It also has an air hose that rotates 360 degrees, which makes it more versatile. Mounting it to the frame was easy, and it will mount to most parts of the bike frame. So far, I've been impressed with this item.

It Does What it Should., January 4, 2007

I'm a normal guy that was in the market for a tire pump for my mountain bike. I am what you would call a "casual" bike rider, so I didn't want to spend a whole lot on a tire pump of all things. Anyway, I got the Topeak Mountain Morph Bike Pump and was pleasantly surprised at how well it works, and how compact it is. My only disappointment (if you can call it that) is that the foothold that folds out is a small piece of plastic that feels like it's going to break when I use it. So, instead, I just hold the tube in one hand, and work the mechanism with the other. The handle that folds horizontally to make pumping easier, makes the whole process very easy. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a tire pump.

Mountain Morph Pump, April 13, 2010
By put (seattle, WA)

Too many moving parts! The adapter for presta/shrader valve stems has a screw-on nut that has to be loosened to change over for each valve type. This nut has to be tightened once the pump is stowed to ensure that it does not vibrate off while riding so you do not lose your parts, which would render the pump useless, for which there are no replacement parts sold.

A floor pump for your Camelback, October 25, 2008
By TubeNet (Arlington National Cemetery)

This is a portable floor pump for mountain bikers. Filling a large volume tire is VERY tiring and takes a long time with a standard handheld pump.. This pump transforms into a small floor pump for on the trail repairs. It is the absolute BEST pump a mountain biker can carry in their pack if convenience trumps weight. All my riding buds who put in lots of miles carry this.

Arrived in excellent condition, in the time frame promised. Pump is very good design, will not break or bend presta stems, because of the flexible hose.

Easy to use but still fits nicely on the bike., November 3, 2010
By Patrick Alexander (Las Cruces, New Mexico)

A nice compromise; still small and portable, but user-friendly. In a competitive context, one of the little ultralight pumps with the pump head built into the body is probably the way to go. If you're a casual rider, a few extra ounces really don't matter too much and thanks to having the pump head on a hose, this pump is much, much easier to use.
It isn't perfect (as another reviewer mentions, it would be nice if the handle would lock in the open position), but it's pretty good and not too expensive.

Just wasn't very happy with the purchase., September 4, 2010

Purchased at local store and will be returning at local store.
Opened the package and had to set up the pump for my street bike stems. Not too bad. Went to use the pump and it was having a hard time staying sealed unless I was very careful not to move it while pumping. Not a huge issue but a little irritating when trying to undo the stem it would let out about 5-10 psi.
My main concern, was that while pumping, the handle repeatedly pinched middle finger skin and almost caused a blood blister. I had to then be incredibly cautious while pumping my tires. This seems to be an obvious design flaw that was not fixed for some reason and I would highly recommend buying a different pump (if you like the skin to stay on your fingers).
For those of you having a hard time imagining what I am talking about... The top of the pump rotates outwards to fit into your hand as shown in the picture. Underneath the handle it has a very sharp plastic edge that butts next to the pipe. Your fingers easily get caught in this crevice and it probably wont take a rocket scientist to realize sharp plastic + metal rod + handle that isn't very stable = blood blisters and skin loss after too much use.
In the end it worked "ok" but by all means was not worth working around every day or weekly.

Works great! eventually wore out., September 23, 2009

This design is great, It's the best I've found. The T grip and the foot peg work great together, eventually I wore it out, and I'd love them to make a heavy duty version, I'd buy it again.

Good pump, September 13, 2008
By Digable Planet (Los Angeles, CA)

5-star pump with a minor flaw.
If this thing was just a little smaller it would be worthy of a 5-star ranking. It won't fit on a 17" seat tube. It will fit on the down tube but because of its length you can't mount anything on the seat tube (like a water bottle holder).
The great thing about this pump is the flexible tube to connect to your valve stem so you dont bend the stem.

What else can you rate a bike pump that does not fail you in BFE, lite enough to take anywhere, and is a mini floor pump on the road.

Great Pump for Offroad Motorcyclists, May 27, 2009
By D. Walker

Good pump for motorcyclists. It is small, yet has enough volume for a motorcycle tire. The hose adds to functionality. I will probably buy a second one.

Great for more than just bikes!, August 19, 2011

We purchased this pump based on the high customer rating and the low price. It has come in handy for MANY purposes. We have inflated exercise balls, a small kiddie pool, stroller tires, and bike tires. It is small and light, and easy to use. The handle is big enough to get a good grip on it. I use it as shown, my husband prefers to leave the handle folded down and pump in and out vs. up and down - very effective both ways.

Love the flexible hose!, May 20, 2011
By Corey B. Myers

My girlfriend bought this on vacation when her old bike pump broke and I loved it so much I bought it myself. It seals very well on the valve, and the flexible hose and fold-down foot pad make pumping up your tire SO much easier! I don't have to hold the pump against my spokes with one hand while pumping with the other anymore. The hose also keeps me from bending the valve back and forth with every pump, which always made me feel like I was going to break it before. This one is a little larger than my old one, but well worth it. Plus, they do make a mini version if you are worried about the size of the pump.

left me stranded at 1 am, August 14, 2010

I needed to fill a presta valve on my road bike at 1 am. I tried to switch it from schrader to presta and it wouldn't jive. It shouldn't be so hard to switch it. It turned my 30 minute ride into a 2 hour + walk. I hate this pump!

a bit small, but reasonable performance, January 15, 2008

its small size caught us by surprise, sometimes that gets to be an issue. but overall, it pumps well, is actually pretty sleek, so, if u bike long-distances, it might be a nifty little thing to carry.
