3.0 out of 5 stars.  Kid loves it, but dad had to fix it after 2 squeezes., September 1, 2009
By DC in DC
There was another review in here about this problem. I took the horn out and squeezed it twice to the irritation of everyone and then the reed came out. It is loud and will make people get out of the way for sure. You can fix the loudness with a bit of tape across the holes - adjust / cut to your liking - but then, why have a horn? I took the horn apart and had to shake the horn to get the clear plastic reed and reed holder thing out. Make sure you do this over a well lit surface and not too far from the ground otherwise you might lose the reed. I replaced the reed and reed holder using some needle-nose pliers (be GENTLE!!!! Best to put the reed on top of the reed holder and push it in a bit with your hand then use the pliers). I used some paperboard (a small piece that won't interfere with the reed - maybe from the packaging) and put it under the reed holder to push it up and keep it from flying out again.

The "charms" are held onto the ribbon with "Post-It Note" glue almost, so there was another thing to fix before the kid could use it (wrapped tape around the ribbon). Also, the mount will take the paint off the bike but hold very well.

I do not have another horn to compare this to, and my kid loves this horn as cheaply made as it is so I am giving it 3 stars - it does work. If she did not like it, or was not repairable it would get 1. I mean all in all, I pretty much rebuilt the horn from parts, so unless you are into that I probably would buy it from a department store in case you have to return it.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Princess Bike Horn, June 27, 2007
By Addict (Florida)
I was a little disappointed. There are no stickers or anything on the horn, it just has a bow and that's about it.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Cute Horn, Odd Installation, December 10, 2008
By ack (Louisville, KY United States)
I purchased this horn as a reward for my daughter scoring high on some math tests. It looks exactly as she expected so she loves it. I was disappointed with how it mounts on the bike though and it required that I use some extra washers to mount it properly and it still doesn't sit straight as it should on the bike.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Cute Horn, September 6, 2008
By Little Book Worm (madison, nj United States)
This horn works well for our needs. My daughter received it for her fourth birthday and loves the pink and purple princess themed noise-maker. Luckily for me it isn't too loud. I agree with the other reviewer - that it would be better if the princesses were printed on the horn, but my daughter loves it just the same.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Disney Princess Horn, June 3, 2009
By Vir9inia (Harrison Twp., MI)
Very cute not very durable. No kidding, my daughter played with it for about five minutes and came in the house crying, it had already broken. My husband had to take apart the horn and reinsert the small plastic insert.

My mom picked this out for her walker. It is similar to others in assisted living. Now she always knows which one is hers.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Looks Girly, Sounds LOUD!!, September 25, 2011
By IndolentReader (Ohio, USA/London, UK)
Other than that it's pink and vaguely pretty, there is nothing princessy about this horn - it means business and is seriously LOUD! I bought one when I needed lots of different-sounding 'buzzers' for an activity at work, but once it had served its purpose there I passed it on to a colleague whose daughter was (and still is) utterly obsessed with all things Disney Princess. The daughter was beside herself with excitement, but I'm not entirely sure the parents felt the same way. Like I said, it is LOUD, and I think they are longing for the day this thing stops working. For now, though, the little girl is happily tormenting them with her princess horn whenever she rides her bike. I think that's a success... right?

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Horn failed after one day., September 24, 2011
By Tom Drennan (Big Oak Valley, CA United States)
I purchased the horn for my 4 year old grand daughter - just learning to ride her bike without training wheels.
Worked fine initially, but failed to toot on second day.
I am sending it back and will get the bell instead. Hope it rings OK.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Ahhh!, September 18, 2011

This thing is crazy loud. We already have a bell so the horn has been detached and stashed out of reach!

1.0 out of 5 stars.  Loud but not for long, April 18, 2012
By C. Capuano (Carmel NY)
I thought that attaching this cute horn to my 3 yr old grandaughter's new tricycle would really provide much fun for her.
After only one day's use, small piece inside the horn itself lodged itself inside the bulb resulting in silence and no beep beep.
A 3 yr old could not understand why I had to keep taking the horn apart and shaking the little piece inside and reattaching it over and over again. Apparantly the glue that holds it in place is inferior
