A Pearl Izumi favorite, the ergonomically designed eight-panel Attack cycling short delivers comfort, durability, and a great fit. Constructed using Sensor-Transfer fabric to keep moisture at bay, the short fits perfectly, with a seamless 3D Race chamois and dual-density padding to relieve pressure on sensitive nerves and absorb shock. The anatomical eight-panel design, meanwhile, features antimicrobial ions that help eliminate bacteria while regulating your temperature, so you'll stay comfortable throughout your ride. And riders will love the flatlock seams--which provide a chafe-free fit--and the cozy Spandex leg grippers. Other details include reflective logos for added visibility, a 9-1/4-inch inseam, and a fabric mix of 86 percent nylon and 14 percent Spandex.

About Pearl Izumi
More than 50 years ago in Tokyo, a father produced Japan's first bicycle racing apparel for his son, a promising racer. He named his soon-to-be-established company Pearl Izumi, derived from the gem "pearl" and an area of Japan known for its clear water ("Izumi"). Literally translated, the name means "fountain of pearls." Distributed in the U.S. since 1981, Pearl Izumi USA sponsored the U.S. national team in 1984 and several major trade teams during the mid-'80s, helping the company earn an almost cult-like following among cyclists. The Pearl Izumi USA line is dedicated to meeting the needs of the serious sport enthusiast, including not just cyclists but cross-country skiers, triathletes, duathletes, runners, and more.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Super comfort, great value, excellent performance, July 10, 2009
By Richard L. Trinkner
(Preface: I'm a road cyclist with 30 years of experience. I ride 5 days per week in the summer, and 2 days per week in the winter. I'm not a racer, but I ride challenging rides in the farmland and mountains of Colorado.)

I've ridden dozens of shorts over the years, from many manufacturers. These Pearl Izumi shorts are my favorites of them all. They're comfortable around my waist and thighs, and they cushion my tush much better than other shorts. (Caveat: no shorts are comfortable on your tush after 50 miles.) I have several shorts in my closet, and I always reach for these first (so long as they're clean! :-)).

I've not tried the more expensive Pearl Izumis, but don't see the need to spend twice the cost of these when these function so well for me. I've tried plenty of cheaper store-brand shorts (e.g., Performance, Nashbar) and none has performed as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Great Shorts, May 28, 2009
By Z. Thomas (Cincinnati, OH)
I got these shorts the day before a two day bi-century. I was a little nervous that I hadn't gotten a chance to break them in, however I had nothing to worry about. These shorts were great over the entire 210 miles. I had no problems with the pad bunching up and they fit great, just as described. I would buy these shorts again.

I have bought these in the past and tried several others including Performance, Velowear and others. I seem to always come back to Pearl Izumi.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Nice shorts at a moderate price, November 15, 2008
By CD (Japan)
OK, you can pay more for shorts, but I don't know why you would. These shorts are comfortable, fit well, and last me two or three years of riding at about 4 - 5,000 miles a year. The price is moderate, but the quality is top notch. I just keep coming back to the Pearl Izumi brand for these reasons.

These are great shorts and a great price. I rode with my last pair for three years.

Great fit, great chamois, and quality construction. No complaints.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Specify MENS in description, April 12, 2009
By mozart (pensacola, florida)
I typed in "women bike short" and these came up. Unfortunately, there is no where in the description that says these are mens, so I didn't realize the mistake until I received the package. Great...

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Made a difference, June 15, 2009
By Dave (Chicago)
I got the shorts a couple of weeks ago and finally had the chance the ride the other day. The last couple of rides were painful even with the gel cushion that I had on the seat. So the next few days after riding, my toosh was killing me.

The ride with the shorts felt great. I could've ridden more miles with the way my bottom was feeling, but my legs are still out of shape. Great investment so far. Btw, no way in hell am I going to wear these shorts out in the open. I wore basketball shorts over them.

By Monkey King (LA, CA USA)
It's one of the finest cycling pants for the price.I use it mainly for hardcore spinning indoor class. It has last on heavy usage for over two years. It does keep all the moisture out and feels comfortable to wear. It did took two week to get this product, always sold out.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Not Too Shabby For the Price, September 20, 2009
By M. Schexnayder
what can i say? i needed a pair of bike shorts because i was tired of my bum hurting from all my constant bike riding. these come in handy if you're only doing a moderate amount of biking - i'm currently biking about an hour a day, and these do the job. my sore nether regions are now a thing of the past.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Great, August 31, 2009
By Mark from Brooklyn (Brooklyn , NY)
I went on a week-long bike tour this summer and had these, along with a pair of EMS bike shorts. These were infinitely better than the EMS shorts. They were so comfortable every single day I was amazed. I know Pearl Izumi makes a touring short, and they are probably even better, but I was totally blown away by the quality of these.
